初一下期英语周报3单元作文答案
初一下期英语周报3单元作文答案全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Awesome English Class - Unit 3English class has been so much fun this semester! We just finished Unit 3 in our textbooks and I learned a ton of great new things. Unit 3 was all about daily routines and household chores. At first, I wasn't super excited about that topic. Talking about making your bed and doing dishes didn't seem that thrilling. But Mrs. Johnson, our teacher, made it really engaging! The unit started off by having us describe our typical morning routines. We had to use sequencing words like "first", "next", "then", and "finally" to put the steps in logical order. I wrote all about how I wake up, brush my teeth, get dressed, eat breakfast, and get my backpack ready. Mrs. Johnson had us share our routines in small groups. It was funny hearing how different everyone's mornings are! Some of my friends wake up before 6am while others don't get up until 8am. A few friends have elaborate skincare and hairstyling routines that take forever. One friend's family has a morning exercise routine they all dotogether. Comparing our mornings was a nice way to see how unique each household is.After discussing routines, we learned vocabulary words related to household chores and cleaning supplies. We had to label diagrams of rooms and objects like mops, brooms, vacuums, sponges, and detergents. I struggled a bit remembering words like "duster" and "disinfectant" at first. But we played lots of fun games like Household Chore Charades and the Cleaning Supplies Word Scramble that helped drill those new terms into my brain. My favorite part of the whole unit was the creative writing assignment at the end. We had to imagine we were hired by a family as a new housekeeper or butler. We had to introduce ourselves, describe our prior experience, share our cleaning philosophy, and pitch why we were the best person for the job. I dreamed up this whole persona as an expert French butler named Jacques. I wrote all about how I was trained in Paris in proper silver polishing techniques, micro-filtering vacuum cleaners, and the importance of lemon-scented wood polish. It was so fun making up silly credentials and trying to one-up my classmates' qualifications. Some people positioned themselves as drill sergeant disciplinarians while others went for a laid-back,go-with-the-flow vibe. Mrs. Johnson said our butler and housekeeper applications were hilarious!Overall, I give Unit 3 two thumbs up! Even though talking about chores doesn't sound riveting, the teachers made it super engaging with fun group work, vocabulary games, and getting to use our imaginations on a creative writing piece. I feel like I expanded my English vocabulary a ton and got lots of practice putting sentences together in a logical sequence. I'm definitely more prepared to tackle any cleaning tasks or morning routines now. Next up is Unit 4 which is about our communities and neighborhoods. I can't wait to see what creative lessons Mrs. Johnson has cooked up! English class keeps getting better and better. Making an effort and immersing myself in new vocab and grammar has really paid off. My language skills are improving every single week. Bring on Unit 4!篇2Unit 3 - A Whole New WorldWow, Unit 3 in our English textbook was really neat! It was all about different countries and cultures around the world. I loved learning about so many new places. One of the coolest things we learned about was traditional clothing from various countries. In Mexico, they have these bright, colorful dresses called China Poblana that have intricate embroidery and ribbons. They look so beautiful and vibrant! I'd love to see one in person someday. We also read about the sari which is the traditional dress for women in India. Some saris are made from stunning, delicate silk fabrics and can be so elaborately designed and draped. Getting to see pictures of women in their saris made me really appreciate the skill and artistry that goes into creating them.In China, we learned about the traditional qipao or cheongsam dress. I thought they looked so elegant and unique with their high collars and side slits. Apparently, qipao designs can vary a lot between different regions of China which is really interesting. I'd never even heard of qipao dresses before this unit! It just goes to show how much there is to discover about cultures around the globe. My favorite section was probably the one on international festivals and celebrations. The Diwali festival in India sounds like such an incredible experience with all the lights, fireworks, delicious food, and beautiful rangoli artworks made from colored powders and sand. I'd love to attend Diwali just once tosee it for myself and sample the sweets and snacks. It would be awesome! Then there was Day of the Dead from Mexico which also looked fascinating, if a bit spooky at first with the skeletal makeups and decorations. But after learning that it's meant to honor deceased loved ones and celebrate the continuity of life, I thought the traditions were actually quite meaningful and poetic. Building those elaborate temporary altars and leaving ofrendas with the favorite foods and belongings of those who passed away is a remarkably respectful way to remember them. I especially liked the idea of decorating sugar skulls. It all just seemed like such a unique and cheerful way to observe death compared to many other cultures.Overall, this unit opened my eyes to just how diverse world cultures are while also highlighting the similarities we share too. No matter where you're from, festivals and traditional dress play a big part in bringing communities together to celebrate their identities and heritage. As different as some of the specific customs felt, there was also a commonality in using these practices to honor the past and bring loved ones closer. In that light, ceremonies like Day of the Dead or Diwali don't seem quiteso foreign after all. They're just unique expressions of values like remembrance, gratitude and hope that make us all human.I'm really glad we got to explore so many amazing cultures this unit. I feel like I have a much broader perspective now, and a newfound appreciation for the incredible diversity our world has to offer. Thanks to units like this, I'll never take traditions and celebrations for granted again. Who knows, maybe I'll even be lucky enough to participate in some myself one day? Here's hoping! For now, I'll just have to satisfy my wanderlust by looking forward to whatever other cultural discoveries awaits us next unit.篇3My Summer Vacation AdventuresHi there! It's me again, your friendly neighborhood middle school student. I hope you all had an amazing summer vacation like I did. Our teachers asked us to write about our summer break, so I thought I'd share my adventures with you!One of the highlights of my vacation was the trip my family took to the beach. We packed our bags and hit the road bright and early one sunny morning. After a long drive, we finallyarrived at our destination – a beautiful seaside town with golden sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. As soon as we checked into our hotel, I couldn't wait to feel the warm sand beneath my feet and the cool ocean breeze on my face. I quickly changed into my swimsuit and raced towards the waves, splashing and playing in the water for hours. My little brother and I even had a sandcastle building contest, which he won fair and square (but I'll get him next time!).In the evenings, we'd stroll along the boardwalk, grabbing ice cream cones or cotton candy from the friendly vendors. One night, we even went on a sunset cruise, watching the sky turn into a breathtaking canvas of oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was magical!Another memorable part of my summer was attending a week-long art camp. I've always loved drawing and painting, so this was the perfect opportunity to unleash my creativity. We learned different techniques like watercolors, acrylics, and even sculpting with clay.On the first day, our instructor taught us how to capture the beauty of nature through landscape paintings. I tried my best to recreate the stunning mountain scenery we saw on our class fieldtrip. While my painting wasn't perfect, I was proud of the effort I put in, and my parents framed it when I got home.Later in the week, we experimented with abstract art, letting our imaginations run wild with bold colors and unique shapes. It was so much fun to see how each of us interpreted the same prompt in completely different ways. By the end of the camp, I had a collection of masterpieces (or at least that's what I like to call them!) to bring home.Another time, a group of us went camping in the nearby woods. We pitched our tents, roasted marshmallows over the campfire, and told spooky stories late into the night (which may or may not have given us a few nightmares!). In the morning, we went on a nature hike, admiring the tall trees and pristine streams along the way.As you can see, my summer was packed with unforgettable adventures and quality time with loved ones. From beach days to art classes, sleepovers to camping trips, I made so many wonderful memories that I'll cherish forever. Now that school is back in session, I feel refreshed and ready to tackle the new academic year. But I'll always look back fondly on those carefree summer days filled with laughter, creativity, and the simple joys of being a kid.Well, that's all from me for now. I can't wait to hear about your summer escapades too! Let's make this a year to remember.篇4My English Class – Unit 3Hey friends! In my English class this week, we started a really cool new unit all about food and culture. Unit 3 in our textbook is called "Food Around the World" and I'm super excited to learn more about different cuisines and traditions. We began by learning some new vocabulary words related to food. There were words like "cuisine" which means a style of cooking from a particular culture or region. We also learned "appetizer", "entree", "side dish", and "dessert" which describe the different courses in a meal. Some other fun words were "ingredients", "recipe", "to marinate", and "to garnish". My favorite new word is probably "delicacy" which means a rare or expensive food item that is considered very special. After building up our food vocabulary, we read a short passage comparing different national dishes from countries like Italy, Mexico, India, and Japan. I thought it was really interesting how food plays such an important role in every culture's traditions and identity. The passage talked about how meals areoften much more than just eating - they are social events that bring families and communities together. I never realized how many different cultural values and customs are reflected through a country's cuisine! We then watched a video all about the incredible diversity of Chinese cuisine. I was amazed to learn that China has eight major regional culinary traditions that are quite distinct from each other. The video highlighted dishes like Peking duck from Beijing, hot pot from Sichuan, and xiaolongbao soup dumplings from Shanghai. Everything looked absolutely delicious! Watching the video definitely made me want to visit China one day to experience the incredible food culture firsthand. For our first writing assignment, we had to describe our favorite home-cooked meal and explain why it's meaningful to us. I wrote about my mom's chicken curry which is something she makes for us every Sunday night. Not only is it unbelievably tasty with its blend of spices and rich coconut milk sauce, but it also reminds me of my family's Indian heritage. My mouth waters just thinking about taking that first bite accompanied by fresh naan bread straight from the oven! I included descriptive words like "aromatic", "zesty", and "mouthwatering" to make the reader feel like they could almost taste the flavors. Our teacher then put us into small groups to discuss food traditions from our own cultures or families. In my group, Sandra talked about how every year for Lunar New Year her Chinese grandparents make jiaozi dumplings stuffed with pork and cabbage. The whole family gets together to fold the dumplings and it's seen as bringing good luck for the new year. Hassan described the huge family feasts they have during Ramadan with dishes like lamb biryani, samosas, and gulab jamun for dessert. He said the meals bring his community together to celebrate their Muslim faith. I thought it was so cool hearing about all these unique traditions!Next week, we're going to be doing some fun activities in class like a "cultural potluck" where everyone brings in a dish that represents their heritage. I'm really looking forward to getting to taste all the different foods! We're also going to be working on a creative writing piece where we describe our ideal menu for a fancy three-course meal. I'm thinking of basing mine on Indian-Mexican fusion cuisine - how delicious would tandoori chicken tacos be?Overall, this unit on global food culture has been awesome so far. I've learned so much about how what we eat is deeply connected to who we are as individuals and communities. Foodisn't just fuel, it's an expression of history, values, and identity passed down through generations. I have a totally new appreciation for the diverse culinary traditions around the world. This unit is definitely making me a more adventurous and open-minded eater! Bring on the new flavors and cuisines to explore. I can't wait to see what else we'll discover about the incredible world of food.篇5My Favorite Sports and HobbiesHi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a student in primary school. Today, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite sports and hobbies. I hope you find them as fun and exciting as I do!One of my absolute favorite sports is swimming. There's just something so refreshing and calming about being in the water. I love the way the water feels against my skin, and the sound of it splashing all around me. Swimming is also a great way to exercise and stay fit. I try to go to the local pool at least twice a week to practice my strokes and maybe even race a few friends.Another sport I really enjoy is basketball. I'm not the tallest kid around, but I make up for it with my speed and agility.Dribbling the ball down the court, passing to my teammates, and occasionally scoring a basket is such a thrill. Basketball is a great way to work on coordination and teamwork skills, too. My friends and I often play pick-up games at the park, and it's always a blast. When I'm not playing sports, one of my favorite hobbies is reading. I love getting lost in a good book and letting my imagination run wild. Whether it's a fantasy adventure, a mystery, or a classic novel, I'm always eager to dive into a new story. Reading has also helped me improve my vocabulary and comprehension skills, which is really helpful in school.Another hobby I really enjoy is drawing and painting. I find it so relaxing and therapeutic to let my creativity flow onto a blank canvas or piece of paper. Sometimes I'll draw realistic portraits or landscapes, but other times I'll let my imagination run wild and create abstract or whimsical pieces. I love experimenting with different art materials, too, like watercolors, acrylics, and even chalk pastels. In my free time, I also love to play video games. I know some people might think it's just a waste of time, but I find it to be a great way to challenge myself, solve puzzles, and even bond with friends through online multiplayer games. Of course, I try to limitmy screen time and make sure I'm still getting plenty of exercise and fresh air.Lastly, I really enjoy exploring the great outdoors. Whether it's going for a hike in the nearby woods, having a picnic in the park, or simply playing in my backyard, I love being surrounded by nature. It's so refreshing and peaceful, and it always reminds me of how amazing our world is.Those are just a few of my favorite sports and hobbies. I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about me and the things I like to do for fun. Who knows, maybe we even share some of the same interests! Either way, I encourage you to explore different activities and find the ones that bring you joy and fulfillment. Life is too short not to have fun and pursue your passions.篇6My Memorable Summer VacationThis summer was the best ever! I had so much fun and did lots of exciting things. Let me tell you all about my summer adventures. The first week of summer holidays, my family went camping in the mountains. We pitched our tent by a beautiful lakesurrounded by tall pine trees. In the mornings, we went hiking along winding trails while birds chirped cheerfully. I saw squirrels scampering up the tree trunks and deer gracefully walking through the forest. One morning, we spotted a black bear from a distance! It was incredible but also a little scary. After our morning hikes, we spent long afternoons by the lake. Dad taught me how to fish and I actually caught three tiny fish! We had a little barbecue grill and roasted the fish along with hamburgers and veggie skewers for dinner. The food tasted extra delicious after our active days. In the evenings, we made a campfire and roasted marshmallows. We sang silly camping songs and told spooky ghost stories that made me jump. Sleeping in the tent at night was fun, listening to the hooting owls and the crackling of the fire. The second week, I went to summer camp. I was a bit nervous at first being away from home, but I made lots of new friends quickly. We had so many awesome activities at camp - swimming, canoeing, archery, arts and crafts, and more. My favorite was the ropes course where we climbed high up among the trees using ladders, wobbly bridges, and zip lines! It was a little scary up there but such a thrill. I felt so proud when I madeit across. The camp counselors were really nice and made sure we were all safe.We also went on a three-day hiking and camping trip while at camp. We hiked deep into the forest, setting up our tents in a glen beside a gurgling stream. We learned outdoorsy skills like how to pitch a tent, build a fire, cook over the campfire, and identify plants. One night it rained heavily and we had to huddle together in a big tent, playing cards and telling silly jokes to pass the time. Even though we got drenched, it was tons of fun.The best part of camp was the talent show on the last night. Some kids sang, some told jokes, and others did magic tricks or played instruments. I decided to enter the funny face contest and made goofy expressions, crossing my eyes and sticking out my tongue. I didn't win but all my new friends cheered me on and I felt like a star. For the last two weeks of summer, my cousins came to visit from across the country. We spent lots of time at a water park, slipping down the huge twisting slides and splashing around in the wave pool. We also went to the beach a few times and made epic sandcastles. Once, we buried my cousin Brandon up to his neck in the sand - he looked so silly! We also had a big backyard camp-out one night, sleeping in a tent and roasting s'mores overthe fire pit. Laying on our backs, we looked up at the bright stars and made wishes on the shooting stars that streaked across the night sky.My cousins and I put on talent shows in the backyard too, dressing up in silly costumes and performing skits and dances for my parents. We played endless games of hide-and-seek and tag around the yard, battling with Nerf guns, and kicking around a soccer ball until we were exhausted. In the evenings, we went to outdoor movies in the park, munching on popcorn and pizza under the stars. Summer nights never seemed to end!I also read lots of great books over the summer, everything from classic adventures to funny stories to books about bugs and outer space. Reading outside on the porch swing or nestled in my treehouse was the perfect way to spend lazy summer afternoons.Summer always seems to fly by way too quickly. Before I knew it, it was time to get ready to go back to school, buy my new binders and pencil case, and pick out my first day of class outfit. I'd made so many fun memories though - swimming, hiking, campfires, cousins, talent shows and more. Summer was one great adventure after another! As I head back to school, I'll remember the a crisp。

英语初一下册第三单元作文英语周报
英语初一下册第三单元作文英语周报全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My English Weekly Report!Hi everyone! It's me again with another weekly report about what we learned in English class. This week we started a brand new unit all about food and eating habits. It was really interesting and I learned a ton of new words and phrases. Let me tell you all about it!First up, we learned lots of vocabulary words related to different types of food. We started with the basics like fruits and vegetables. I already knew words like "apple", "banana", "carrot", and "broccoli" but then we learned more advanced ones like "pomegranate", "aubergine" (that's British English for eggplant!), and "zucchini". My favorite new fruit word was "persimmon". Isn't that a funny word? Then we moved on to learning words for different meats and proteins. I felt a little bad learning words like "beef", "pork", "chicken" and "fish" because I don't really like thinking about animals being eaten. But I tried not to think about it too much.We also learned "shrimp", "lobster", and "crab" which are all kinds of shellfish that come from the ocean. "Tofu" was one new word I learned for a vegetarian protein option. After foods, we studied words for different meals. I already knew "breakfast", "lunch", and "dinner" but learned new ones like "brunch" (a mix of breakfast and lunch), "supper" (another word for dinner), "banquet" (a really fancy meal), and "potluck" (where everyone brings a different dish to share). My favorite new meal word was "barbecue" because I love cooking foods outside on the grill.Speaking of cooking, that was the next topic we covered - words having to do with preparing food. I thought it was cool to learn words like "sauté" (cooking in a pan with a little oil), "broil" (cooking with heat from above), "bake", "fry", "steam", and "flambé" (cookingwhile li t on fire - sounds dangerous!). We also went over words for common kitchen tools like "whisk", "tongs", "grater", and "peeler". Now I feel like a little chef after learning all those new words! After building up our vocabulary, we practiced using all the new words by describing our favorite foods, meals, and family eating habits. I talked about how my favorite meal is breakfast because I love eating pancakes, waffles, and eggs in the morning.I described how my mom likes to bake fresh bread and cookies on the weekends. And I explained that for dinner my family often has potlucks where each person makes one dish to share. Then we learned about different cultural traditions and customs around food and eating. We discussed things like having tea time in the UK, eating with chopsticks in many Asian cultures, not eating cows in India because they are sacred animals, and avoiding pork for religious reasons in Muslim cultures. It was really interesting learning about how food means different things to different cultures around the world. My favorite part of the whole unit was when we did a fun group activity making videos of ourselves pretending to be chefs or cooking show hosts. We had to come up with a name for our show, like "Kate's Kitchen Creations" or "Marcus' Marvelous Meals". Then we filmed ourselves hosting a fake cooking show where we taught the class how to make one of our favorite dishes step-by-step using all the new vocabulary words we had learned. It was a blast getting to be silly and creative while practicing our new English skills!Well, that's all I have to report for this week's English lessons. We covered SO much vocabulary and learned all about food, meals, cooking, and cultural traditions. My head is still spinningfrom all the new words and information! But it was a really engaging unit and I had a lot of fun with all the activities. Hopefully next week's unit will be just as interesting! That's all for my weekly report. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you next time! Bye!篇2My English Learning Adventure in Unit 3!Hi everyone! My name is Lucy and I'm a first-year middle school student. I love learning English and I'm super excited to share my experience with Unit 3 of our English textbook with you all! This unit was all about talking about our daily routines and schedules. At first, I found it a bit tricky because there were so many new words and grammar rules to learn. But thanks to my amazing English teacher, Ms. Johnson, and her fun and engaging lessons, I was able to conquer this unit like a pro!One of the things I enjoyed the most was learning how to tell the time in English. We practiced saying things like "It's fiveo'clock" or "It's quarter past three." Ms. Johnson even brought ina big clock and had us take turns moving the hands and telling the class what time it was. It was like a game, and I loved it!Another highlight of this unit was learning about prepositions of time, like "in," "on," and "at." We played a fun game where we had to race to the board and write the correct preposition for different times and events. For example, if Ms. Johnson said "Christmas Day," we had to write "on Christmas Day." It was a great way to remember these tricky little words. But my absolute favorite part of Unit 3 was learning how to talk about our daily routines. We learned vocabulary like "wake up," "get dressed," "have breakfast," and so on. Then, we practiced putting these actions in order and describing our typical day.One day, Ms. Johnson had us all stand up and act out our morning routines without speaking. It was hilarious watching my classmates pretend to brush their teeth, comb their hair, and tie their shoelaces! After that, we had to tell a partner what we had just acted out. It was such a fun and engaging way to practice our new vocabulary and grammar.Of course, no English unit would be complete without some reading and writing practice. In this unit, we read a short story about a girl named Lily and her typical day at school. It was reallyhelpful to see the vocabulary and grammar we had learned in action. For our writing assignment, we had to describe our own daily routine, from waking up in the morning to going to bed at night. I wrote about how I wake up at 7 a.m., brush my teeth, get dressed, have breakfast, and then head off to school. After school, I described how I do my homework, have dinner with my family, watch a bit of TV, and finally go to bed around 9 p.m.Overall, I had an amazing time learning about daily routines and schedules in Unit 3. Ms. Johnson's creative and engaging lessons made it so much fun, and I feel like I really mastered the vocabulary and grammar we covered. Now, I can't wait to move on to Unit 4 and see what exciting English adventures await me there! Learning English is such a fantastic journey, and I'm so grateful to have a teacher like Ms. Johnson to guide me along the way. That's all for now, friends! Until next time, keep practicing your English and having fun while you're at it!篇3English Weekly Report - Unit 3By [Your Name]Hi there! It's me again with another English weekly report. This time I'm going to tell you all about Unit 3 that we just finished. Are you ready? Let's go!Unit 3 was all about food, cooking, and eating out at restaurants. I thought it was a really fun topic because who doesn't love food? I know I sure do! We learned lots of new vocabulary words related to food like ingredients, utensils, and different types of cuisines. One of the first words we learned was "ingredient." That means the different foods you need to make a dish, like flour for baking a cake. My favorite ingredient is probably chocolate! We also learned words like "whisk" for mixing things and "grater" for shredding cheese or veggies. Knowing all the cooking tool words makes me feel like a little chef. Then we dove into learning about different types of cuisines from around the world. Cuisine just means the typical foods and cooking styles of a certain culture or country. We learned about Italian cuisine like pasta and pizza, Mexican cuisine with tacos and burritos, and Chinese cuisine with dishes like fried rice and dumplings. I really want to travel the world one day to try authentic foods from everywhere! To practice what we learned, we did a fun activity where we had to plan out a three-course meal - an appetizer, main dish, and dessert. I decided to make a Mexican-themed meal. For the appetizer, I chose guacamole which is smashed avocado with onions, cilantro, and spices. Yum! Then for the main course, I picked chicken fajitas with peppers and onions in a warm tortilla. And for dessert, I went with classic churros which are like long, ridged doughnuts covered in cinnamon sugar. Just thinking about it is making me hungry!Another big part of this unit was learning how to order food at a restaurant. We practiced conversations where you greet the server, ask about specials or recommendations, place your order, and finally ask for the check or bill at the end. It was a little nerve-wracking at first, but I'm getting better at speaking more naturally. My favorite activity was when we actually got to go on a field trip to a real restaurant! We took a bus downtown to an Indian restaurant called "The Curry Cup." I was a little nervous because I had never tried Indian food before, but it ended up being delicious. We started with an appetizer called samosas which were crispy fried pockets filled with spicy potatoes and peas. Then for my main dish, I ordered butter chicken which wastender chicken in an creamy orange sauce. It came with fluffy basmati rice and warm naan bread on the side. Everything was so flavorful! For dessert, I had my very first taste of a classic Indian treat called gulab jamun. They looked like little donut holes soaked in a sugary syrup flavored with rose water and cardamom. It might sound a little weird, but it was absolutely heavenly and sweet! I think Indian food just became one of my new favorite cuisines.Besides all the fun food activities, we also read a really interesting article about childhood hunger and malnutrition around the world. It was sad to learn that so many kids don't have reliable access to enough healthy food every day. But it inspired me to appreciate what I have and not take food for granted. We even did a canned food drive at our school to donate to a local food bank.Well, that was Unit 3 in a nutshell (or should I say eggshell?). We learned so many practical English skills for discussing food, ordering at restaurants, and understanding global cuisines. My mouth is watering just thinking about all the delicious dishes!I'm already excited for our next unit which will be all about sports, games, and outdoor activities. I'll be sure to tell you allabout that one next time. Until then, happy eating and practicing your English food vocabulary! Okay, I'm out. Bye!篇4My English Weekly Journal - Unit 3Hey there! It's me again with another fun English weekly journal entry. This time I'm going to tell you all about the awesomely cool Unit 3 we just finished in our English textbook. Get ready for some seriously exciting stuff!Unit 3 was called "A Balanced Life" and it was all about living a healthy lifestyle. We learned soooo many useful words and phrases related to health, exercise, sports, and taking good care of our bodies and minds. My favorite new word was "nutritious" which means foods that are good for you and give you lots of healthy vitamins and stuff. Yum yum, give me all the nutritious foods! The first text we read was a really inspiring article about a young girl named Kelly who loved playing basketball. Kelly was super passionate about the sport and practiced every single day after school. Her hard work and dedication really paid off because she became the star player of her school's basketball team! Reading about Kelly's healthy habits like eating well, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep motivated me to be more active too. After the reading, we learned how to write emails and letters. Our teacher had us write a letter to a friend describing our favorite sport or outdoor activity. I wrote all about my love for riding bikes and going on fun family cycling trips. Cycling is such an awesome workout for your legs and heart, and it's better for the environment than driving a gas guzzling car. Two wheels > four wheels! The grammar focus for this unit was learning about modal verbs like can, could, should, shouldn't, must, and mustn't. Those are really useful for giving suggestions and advice about healthy habits. For example, you could say "You should drink more water every day" or "You mustn't skip breakfast in the morning." The modals helped me give my parents some good tips about having a balanced lifestyle. Thanks English class! My favorite part of Unit 3 was the section on outdoor activities. We learned bunch of new vocabulary related to camping, hiking, rock climbing, and exploring nature. Words like "campsite," "backpack," and "trail" helped me describe the scenery and equipment for these awesome outdoor adventures. It made me really excited to go camping with my family next summer! We finished the unit by doing group projects about designing a healthy menu for a school cafeteria. My group decided to include yummy foods like grilled chicken, brown rice, steamed veggies, fruit salad, and yogurt parfaits. Don't those all sound so nutritious and delicious? We had to use persuasive language to convince the class that our menu was the best option for energizing young students' bodies and minds.Overall, English Unit 3 taught me so many valuable lessons about maintaining a balanced lifestyle through proper nutrition, exercise, sleep, and relaxation. I can't wait to put all my new knowledge into practice by eating right, staying active, and enjoying the great outdoors. Living a healthy life is the key to having a sound mind, body, and soul. Thanks for reading my journal and until next time, peace out!篇5My English Weekly Report - Unit 3Hi everyone! It's me again with another English weekly report. This time I want to tell you all about what we learned inUnit 3 of our English textbook. It was all about sports and hobbies. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me!We started off learning loads of new vocabulary words related to sports and activities that people do for fun. Words like "basketball", "soccer", "swimming", "hiking", and "skateboarding" were introduced. I already knew some of them, but there were definitely new ones I hadn't heard before too. My favorite new word was probably "archery" - that's when you shoot arrows with a bow and arrow. It sounds kind of dangerous but also really exciting!Along with the vocabulary, we practiced asking each other questions using the new words. Things like "Do you like playing basketball?" or "What's your favorite hobby?" It was fun finding out what sports and activities my classmates enjoy doing. Quite a few of them said they love swimming, which makes sense since we live near the ocean. Others mentioned riding bikes, reading books, or collecting stickers and coins as their hobbies. Personally, I'm really into skateboarding lately! The grammar point we focused on was how to make sentences with "like" plus a verb. For example: "I like to swim" or "He likes playing video games." It was a little tricky at first because in Chinese we don't use that same pattern. But afterdoing lots of practice exercises, I think I've got the hang of it now. Maybe I can even teach my parents some English! There were also some really cool reading passages about different sports from around the world. Did you know that Canada has an annual event called the "Muddy York Mud Pucker"? It's a bizarre race where people have to run through super thick, gooey mud! We read all about the obstacles and challenges. It sounded crazy but also hilarious. A few of my friends said they might actually want to try it someday. As for me, I think I'll stick to skateboarding!Towards the end of the unit, we did a fun project making poster boards all about our favorite sport or hobby. I made mine on skateboarding, of course! I drew some cool skateboard trick illustrations and wrote about how I first got into the sport, what type of skateboard I ride, and where my favorite skate spots are.A couple classmates made really elaborate posters about basketball and baseball that looked super professional.Overall, I'd say Unit 3 was a blast! I picked up a ton of great new English vocabulary, got more comfortable making sentences with "like", and learned about some wild sporting events from other countries. My English skills are steadilyimproving. Who knows, maybe I'll be fluent before I even start middle school!Anyway, that's all I've got for this weekly report. Be sure to stay tuned for my next one covering Unit 4. Rumor has it that it's going to be all about festivals and celebrations around the world. How exciting! I'll do my best to make that report just as good as this one. Thanks for reading, everyone!篇6English Weekly Report: Unit 3Hi everyone! It's me again, your English buddy! I'm super excited to share with you all the cool stuff we learned in Unit 3 of our English textbook. Get ready for an awesome adventure through the world of English!First up, we learned a bunch of new words related to jobs and occupations. Can you believe how many different jobs there are in the world? It's mind-boggling! We learned words like "doctor," "teacher," "chef," "firefighter," and so many more. It's really interesting to learn about all the different jobs people do to help make our world a better place. One of the most exciting parts of this unit was learning how to talk about our future dreams and aspirations. We practiced asking each other questions like "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and "What's your dream job?" It was so much fun hearing everyone's big dreams and imagining all the amazing things we could do in the future.Speaking of the future, we also learned how to use the "going to" structure to talk about things we're planning to do. For example, "I'm going to be a famous singer one day!" or "My big sister is going to go to university next year." It's a really useful way to express our plans and intentions. But wait, there's more! We also learned a ton of new vocabulary related to workplaces and offices. Words like "computer," "desk," "copy machine," and "conference room" became part of our English toolkit. It's like we got a sneak peek into the world of grown-ups and their fancy offices!Of course, no English unit would be complete without some fun games and activities. We played a hilarious game called "Charades" where we had to act out different jobs without speaking. You should have seen me trying to be a zookeeper – it was a total riot! We also did some cool role-playing activitieswhere we pretended to be different professionals like doctors, engineers, and even astronauts! One of my favorite parts of this unit was learning about different cultures and how people around the world view careers and jobs. We learned that in some countries, certain jobs are more respected than others, while in other places, people value different types of work. It was really eye-opening to see how diverse and fascinating our world is.Towards the end of the unit, we had a chance to put all our new knowledge to the test by writing a short essay about our dream jobs. I wrote about my burning desire to become a famous video game designer and create the most epic games the world has ever seen! Some of my classmates had other awesome ideas like becoming professional athletes, scientists, or even presidents of their own countries. The possibilities are endless!Overall, Unit 3 was an absolute blast! We learned so much about jobs, occupations, and the world of work, all while having a ton of fun and making lots of new friends along the way. English is quickly becoming one of my favorite subjects, and I can't wait to see what exciting adventures await us in the next unit.Until next time, my fellow English learners! Keep practicing, keep dreaming big, and never forget that the world is our oyster!。

七年纪下学期第三单元英语周报作文
The Magic of Friendship in Our Daily Lives In the journey of life, the beauty and strength of friendship are often overlooked. It's not until we encounter challenges or moments of joy that we truly appreciate the role of friends in our lives. As seventh-graders, we are embarking on a new chapter of growth and discovery, and the third unit of our English newspaper this semester focuses on the theme of friendship.Friendship, a bond that transcends age, culture, and boundaries, plays a pivotal role in our daily lives. It's the invisible thread that ties us together, keeping us strong when we falter and reminding us of the importance of kindness and support. In school, friends are the ones who share our joys, sorrows, and everything in between. They are the ones who lend an ear when we need to talk, offer a helping hand when we're in trouble, and celebrate our successes with us.One of the most remarkable aspects of friendship is its ability to bring people together. It doesn't matter if we come from different backgrounds or have diverse interests. What matters is the mutual respect and understanding thatwe share. Friends are the ones who accept us for who we are, flaws and all, and encourage us to be better versions of ourselves. Moreover, friendship is not just about having fun and sharing laughs. It's also about learning from each other, growing together, and facing challenges as a team. Friends are our partners in crime, our confidants, and our support system. They are the ones who make us laugh when we're down, challenge us when we're complacent, and remind us of our dreams and aspirations. However, friendships are not always rosy. There are times when we may have misunderstandings or disputes with our friends. It's during these moments that we learn the importance of communication, forgiveness, and understanding. We realize that true friendship isn't about never havingany differences but about resolving them with love and respect. In conclusion, the magic of friendship lies in its simplicity and authenticity. It's about the connections we make, the memories we share, and the lessons we learn from each other. As seventh-graders, we are fortunate to havesuch wonderful friends by our sides, guiding us throughthis journey of growth and discovery. Let us cherish these friendships and make the most of them, as they will undoubtedly be the treasured memories of our lifetimes.**友谊在日常生活中的魔力**在人生的旅途中,友谊的美好与力量常常被忽视。

It can run faster than most other animals and it can even easily kill them. The lion is the highest animal in the land food chain(链). In the sea, the shark is at the top of the food chain. It can swim faster than most other sea animals. It can also use its big teeth to catch other sea animals and eat them. What is at the top of the world’s food chain? People are! We are not the biggest or fastest, but we are the cleverest. We could not run faster than most animals, so we invented cars and now we can move the fastest. We could not fight better than a lion, so we invented guns. Now we can easily kill a lion.People’s inventions are clever, but they can be dangerous, too. For example, many years ago in Inner Mongolia, people used guns to kill a lot of wild wolves. The wild wolves usually eat wild rabbits. But in recent years, the number of wild rabbits is becoming bigger and bigger because the number of wild wolves is getting smaller and smaller. Much of the grassland became desert (沙漠)because it was badly destroyed by the rabbits.Remember that we are a part of the food chain, so we are in danger, too! If we protect animals, we are protecting ourselves.31.How many kinds of animal food chains are mentioned in the passage?A. Two.B. Three.C. Four.D. None.32.Why are people at the top of the world’s food chain?A. Because people can use guns.B. Because people are the strongest.C. Because people are the cleverest.D. Because people can drive cars.33.In what way do we say people’s inventions can be sometimes dangerous?A. They can kill a lot of wild wolves.B. They can destroy the grassland.C. They can destroy the food chain.D. They can make wild rabbits grow bigger and bigger.34.Which of the following food chain is right?A. People - wild wolves - wild rabbits - grass.B. Lions - people - cows - grass.C. Grass - sheep - People - Shark.D. Shark - wild wolves - sheep - grass.35.What is the best title of the passage?A. People’s Inventions.B. How to Protect Animals.C. Unit3 Our senses READINGA A blind man and his eyes (P34)John F. Dancer walked into the Dragon’s Head Hotel with his friend Charlie. They went to the reception desk. John said, “Hi. I’m John Dancer. I booked a room last Sunday.”The clerk said, “Yes, sir, but we don’t allow pets in this hotel.”“Pets!” cried John. “Charlie isn’t a pet. I’m blind and he’s my eyes.”“I’m sorry, sir,” the clerk explained, “but the hotel rules…”John interrupted, “Please call the manager.”The manager came. He said, “You are both welcome, sir.” He led them to their room. John said, “Excuse me, where is the fire exit?”“It’s the fifth door from yours,” said the manager.“Thank you,” said John. “Safety first, you know.”“Yes, sir,” the manager said. He then described John’s room to him, and left.John tells us what happened next.“I was asleep. Suddenly, I heard Charlie bark loudly. I woke up and smelt smoke! A fire! Just then, the fire alarm went off. I went to feel the door. It was hot, so I didn’t open it. I wet some towels and put them along the bottom of the door.“The phone was dead. Some smoke got in around the door. I lay on the floor with Charlie and waited. The minutes seemed like hours. Then I heard the sound of a fire engine. It was music to my ears.“I opened the window, waved and shouted. Soon, a fireman showed up, but he didn’t want to take Charlie. ‘It’s against the rules,’ he said.I explained again. Seconds later, we were both safe on the ground. I saved Charlie, and he saved me!”READINGA B2 Using sense of smell in different jobs (P36)People work with different parts of their bodies. A construction worker mostly uses his hands. An athlete mostly uses his or her arms and legs. Teachers use their brains for thinking, their mouths for speaking, their eyes for reading and their ears for listening. But how many people use their noses for their jobs? In fact, quite a few!A perfume maker must have a good sense of smell. A good sense of smell is also useful for working with any kind of food. A cook working in a restaurant uses his or her nose all day. He or she must have a good sense of taste as well.Firemen need to have a good sense of smell. The best firemen can smell smoke very quickly and because of this, a fireman with a good sense of smell will always be safer than one without.Close your eyes. What can you smell? Can you tell lots of different things? Yes? Then maybe you should look for a job using your nose.。
