I do not watch TV that often nowadays but when I was a student, I used to watch televisions a lot. There are lots of programs that really liked and watched regularly. In those days I watch mostly news and some selective TV programs. The TV program that made a strong impression on me was a documentary that I watched on Discovery Channel. The TV program was called “The sacrifice of genius” and it was a serial that had around 10 episodes. I watched all of those episodes and enjoyed a lot. This was mainly a documentary serial which emphasized the sacrifice the famous and genius scientists like Marie Curie, Thomas Edison and 8 other scientists.I watched the TV program in my third year of my graduation program. In our local time, the program was broadcasted at 9.00 pm every Thursday. The program showed the life and work of the famous scientists and the sacrifices they made for humans and to make the world a better place. These stories were presented in a fascinating way and were very professionally made. The spectators would have the impression that they were actually watching the real scientists and their works.I have learned so many things about those scientists and learned the sacrifices they made. Those sacrifices were unbelievable and after watching this program, I could not stop thinking about those famous scientist and their supreme sacrifices. This program has helped me thinking in a different perspective that sacrifices for others can be more important thanpersonal achievements like wealth, fame and self-awareness. I later searched about details of those scientists and other famous persons as well and learned many things. I was actually inspired by this program and started learning closely about the people who made the world a place where we no longer need to live in the dark and do not have to fight the wild animals to earn our foods.Similar Cue Card topics that you should be able to answer as well:1. Describe a TV programme that you watched and would like to watch again2. Describe a radio or TV program that you like.3. Describe a famous TV program in your country.4. Describe a TV program that you watched and did not like.5. Describe a TV program you have recently watched.6. Describe a comedy show that you watched. You should sayWhat are educational TV programs? What function do they have? How they influence people?Recently, the discussion on western public service broadcasting system and public media problem has become a popular issue. Public service broadcasting, which is generally believed to originate in UK, is a pervasive broadcasting system based on the aim of serving the public interest. Their products contribute to the spread of freedom, pluralism, education prosperity and high quality program production. In this system, educational TV programs are the vital parts. For instance, the Open University program, which is produced by BBC, has beenaired for more than forty years. It is so successful that it set a good example for the other public educational programs. Many British people who don’t have a chance to study in a college have learned knowledge from this program. Because of this program, some of them are able to seek further education and get a college degree, which offers them more opportunities for better jobs. Moreover, the services have provided a competitive relationship with other media services agencies, leading to the increase in service quality of this industry. With the support of the UK government, BBC’s programs grow so fast. They are able to produce independent educational programs without any influence from other forces. That is to say, they can broadcast the truth faithfully. It offers a chance for people to speak freely with a neutral, equitable and objective stand. Describe an educational TV program. You should say:what the program iswhat type of program it iswhat contents it hasand explain what you learned from the program.I’d like to talk about a program from my childhood called “How 2”, I believe it’s originally a British TV show that was televised in my country with subtitles. The presenters certainly spoke with a British accent. It’s hard to pin down exactly what type of program it was, I guess a mixture of science and history, with some everyday facts thrown in for good measure. The title itself is a play on words, as the series would show you ‘how to’ do certain things. The show is aimed at kids in middle school or high school. The hosts would routinely do experiments to demonstrate science in action, I remember one in particular where the presenters were trying to pour water out of a bottle in the quickest way possible. The winner had a very good technique whereby she would swirl the water, creating a vortex and causing the liquid to fly out of the bottle far quicker than any of the others’.As you would expect, the show got me interested in science and learning, but it also showed that you could do many experiments yourself and have fun at home, with everyday objects and materials that were easy to get hold of. At school we would need equipment and the teacher would have to supervise us, but at home we could be left to our own devices, with just a bottle and some water to keep us amused.

Describe a type of entertainment you likeThe entertainment I would like to see is a Broadway play, like those famous ones from New York. Ive heard that The Phantom of the Opera is a famous one that is well worth seeing. Well, I guess I might need to go all the way to America to see one, but I have a feeling that there will one day be a grand performance in Beijing. Why not? You dont need that much English to be able to enjoy it, and Beijing certainly has the facilities. Perhaps it will come soon. The basic features of these plays are incredible voices-I mean to sing like they do is not easy, and I know many famous signers and actors from America have tried but failed. Also they need to be graceful in their actions and decent at acting. These kinds of plays are usually visually very stunning, I mean a lot goes into making the setting wonderful. I heard for example that in The Phantom of the Opera there is a giant chandelier that comes crashing onto the stage, but that it is actually just a technical stunt. I think the reason I would like to see this is because I prefer seeing acting live and on stage. Also, I love singing, and I think if I were to see such a play it would stick in my mind for quite some time.

You know, I like to choose something that I am interested in, so I always turn from one channel to another as long as there is an advertisement on show. Then, about 2 months ago, I noticed a program, antiques road show, or treasures appraisal, I am not sure how to name it in English correctly, but it was really an educational TV program for me and truly aroused my interest. This program is now very popular among people in China. You know, china has such a long history, and we really have a lot of antiques collected by the public. Many items shown in the program may never be seen anywhere else. Since many families do have their collections, but they are not so professional, they all want to have their collections, or their treasures, appraised by those experts. Outside the film studio, we can see many people are holding their treasures, waiting in queues, hoping that the things they hold can be truly priceless treasures in the eyes of those experts. Then , when those treasures are handed to those experts, including one for drawings, one for calligraphy, one for china, and one for bronze ware, you know, they will tell us how to appraise a piece of antique, and what value it is now to us, as well as the market price of it.Leaning those skills, seeing those antiques, sensing the great joy when a true antique is discovered, and sympathizing the pity when an item is defined as a fake, this TV program, does teach me a lot. 1. Among them I love my mother more than anyone else in the whole world. I adore my mother for her caring, loving, adorable behaviors and wit. She is the person I can share everything with and that's the reason I worship her so much.Possibly she was the first human I saw when I opened my eyes in this world. A relationship with a mother is divine and all of my childhood memories are either related to my mom or my school. I can still remember a day I was late to come back home after school and that's because there was a ceremony at the school I did not know about. All of a certain I found that my mother was entering through the school-gate to find me. I was so frightened that my mother would rebuke me for being late unnoticed and she must be mad at me. But to my best surprise, when my mother saw me she had a warm smile in her face that I'll never forget till my last breath in this earth. Then she hugged me and gave me a kiss. I felt then that I love my mother more than me. She attended the program at the school and afterward we came back home together.I spent my 19 years or so with my father and mother but I stay at a metropolitan city now for my education. Whenever I get vacation I meet my mother at my village home. On an average Ispend 2/3 months with my mother each year but I talk to her over phone almost twice a day.The reasons why I admire her are endless. The book I would like to describe is a novel called ‘Kane and Abel’ and is written by the famous British writer Jeffrey Archer. Sometimes I read book reviews on internet and after reading 2/3 books by Jeffrey archer, I tried to get the list of all books by Jeffrey Archer. I found that most of the Jeffrey Archer f ans have recommended the book ‘Kane & Abel’. Some people even commented that this is the best bookever written by the same author. I made my mind at this very moment to read this book. After one month or so, I bought the book from a book store and started reading it.The book was first published in 1979 in the United Kingdom and in USA in 1980. The book was the international success and reached No. 1 position on the New York Times best-selling book list. The story-line started with the birth of two infants named Kane and Abel in the year 1906. One of them was born to a life of prosperity and eases in USA in a rich family while the other one to a world of hardship and struggle. On different sides of the Globes, they grew up: one shaped by a luxurious upbringing, fine schooling and history he read, the other one who lost his mother at the time of his birth and did not know who his father was, well tempered by war, slavery and history he was part of. The story telling of Jeffrey Archer is magical and enchanting. Most of his story simply mesmerizes the readers and for Kane and Abel the attraction worked even more. Every page I turned tempted me to read further. Not for a single moment I could have stop thinking about the events and characters of the books and that had a major influence on me. The characters have their own charismatic powers and followed their own paths. One is gold, meritorious while the other one is steel and have forfeited the Dead himself. On their journey in life, they confront each other and became the ultimate adversary of each other. In their relentless battle, both men knew that there could be only one victor- and one vanquished.Across three generations and around a rapidly changing world, their war rages unchecked, for the love of a dream, the loss of an empire, and the lure of a fortune. Kane became the owner of the largest bank in USA while Abel came to USA as apenniless emigrant after the World War I. With intelligence Kane started flourishing the banking business, while Abel made his fortune at last in Hotel business. The first time they confronted each other as a bank owner and a debtor. Though Kane wanted to help Abel regain his business by financing further, but could not do so because of the bank’s board members’ decision. After that Abel considered Kane as his greatest enemy and sought to destroy Kane. As time passed both had to fight their own fates but the vendetta remained on their hearts. When both men finally grew older, their son and daughter fell in love and got married. They never agreed on the marriage because of their personal hatred of each other. Abel succeeded to buy the bank stocks of Kane’s Bank to hold the power to veto Kane. At the end of the story both confronted each other for the second and last time. After that Kane died and after his death, Abel learned that it was Kane who backed him financially to start his hotel business. The story was told like a magician and is a powerful portrait of a world and two men that a reader would never forget.。

The show named Super Brain was extremely popular in China and through this program we had the chance to explore something new in the fields we did not know before.I still remembered that freezing afternoon, all the audience gathered at Nanjing International Expo Center. To my friend and me, this was a once-in-a-life chance so we excitedly discussed that we should take a lot of photos from the second we enter the studio hall.Well perhaps plan never runs smoothly cause when we satdown in the fabulous studio hall we were informed that no one was allowed to take photos or videos during the whole recording process. The staff told us that some audience used to take photographs secretly and post them on the Internet ahead of the telecast just in order to steal the spotlight. They were proud to give away the spoiler but it was no doubt a nuisance to the television station.Although I wanted to take just one picture as a memento and my friend also looked sad, we decided to comply with the rules and packed up our electronic devices. To be honest that night was still amazing and I enjoyed the show even though no photo was taken.最新雅思口语Part2话题答案: a piece of good news that you receivedYou should say:what this news waswhen and where you heard ithow you heard itand explain why you think it was good news参考范文The best news for me up till now is that my parents finallystopped forcing me to take the college entrance examination, so that I could focus on the preparation for the IELTS test.Well actually that’s a long story, and I’ll try to make it short.Um。

Childhood is a time when everything is magical and pleasant. The possibility and dreams are vast and things become happier in childhood. Everybody has childhood memories and among them some are pleasant and some are sad. I have various childhood memories and I would like to talk about my childhood memory related to my first day at school.I was about 5 years old when my parents got me admitted ina local school. I had a fascination of going to school from 3-4 years as I recall and when my father finally announced that I'll get admitted in the coming January, I felt like being in heaven.I imagined school would be a great place and I would have lots of friends and I would study there. On the day, my parents took me to the school that I had saw many times from outside but never entered. After entering the school, I find myself anxious about everything.I was unsure what to do, who to talk to, what to do when the teachers would ask questions and many such things. After my father submitted some necessary papers and fees to the admission department, they gave me new books, a temporary Identity Card and a syllabus. I started feeling comfortable after I found that some of our neighboring kids were already in this very school and they came to me and talked to me. This took place at my hometown where I grew up and I had been to this school forthe next 4 years. To my surprise one of the teachers asked my parents to leave me and told me to attend the classes. I was not at all prepared to join the class but I found I had little choice over that. My parents spent few times and advised me how to behave, how to listen to teachers and many more tips. After my parents abandoned me, I was frightened for few moments and sat at a corner of the class. The teacher asked to come forward and introduce myself. I found I was unable to walk and talk. But in few minutes my hesitation got away and I was talking about myself. The teacher appreciated me and some of the new classmates came forward and greeted me. I started enjoying the class and teachers and found that I started loving my school. Later on I got admitted in college, university and many other places but the memory of first day at primary school was totally different and I still remember the day evidently.Tips for answering this cue card topic:You are asked to talk about any event from your childhood which you still remember. This event does not have to be a big event like a sporting success or a visit to a famous place. You can talk about virtually anything that you think was interesting and you can describe comfortably.Try to talk about something that you would be able to talk fluently. While in the phase of 1-2 minutes for the cue card, many things from your childhood might pop-up in your mind. But pick the thing that you would be able to talk in details. Some of the common things that we usually remember from our childhood and this list was made to help you generating some ideas to talk about:1. Every summer I would go to stay with them, while my parents continued working. Although I missed my parents, I used to really enjoy spending time with my grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. I spent all summer there, nearly two whole months, so from time to time my cousins and I would get bored. We would ask my grandparents if they had any ideas for interesting things we could do. Sometimes they suggested going for a bike ride, sometimes into town to do some shopping. At other times, they showed us a new game to play. Then we were happy again. One day - it must be about 12 years ago (doesn't time fly!) - all of us got really, really bored and we kept complaining to my grandparents. They were tearing their hair out, trying to think up ideas of where we could go and what we could do. Suddenly, my granddad came up with the idea of going to a new water park that had opened that summer. I hadn't heard about it but my cousins had, and they told me all about it. It was a park with vast numbers of different pools, some inside, some outside. There were water slides as well. And, on top of there was not one, but two playgrounds with swings, a merry-go-round, see-saws. We were so excited. We set off and on the way we were all singing songs and laughing. We couldn't wait to get there. When we arrived, my cousins and I ran into the park and changed into our swimming costumes. Then we went looking for the most exciting-looking pool, and we found it, one with brightly coloured tiles and slides, we jumped straight in. We played all day in the park and had a lovely lunch, sat on some benches in the sunshine. My granddad loved a pool that was filled with spa water. Itwas dark brown and stank of rotten eggs. I didn't want to go in but he eventually convinced me. I'm pleased he did because the water was really warm. I'd never swam in water that warm. I didn't want to get out, despite the terrible smell.I consider it such a happy memory because we enjoyed ourselves so much and I remember so vividly how I felt that day. But there's more to it than just that. When I look back now, I understand how caring my grandparents were and how much they wanted us all to be happy. They would have done anything to help us have a good time. I appreciate that more now that I'm older and have children of my own. I hope we thanked them; I can't remember. But, anyway, they were content, I'm sure, to just watch us have an amazing time, playing and laughing in the water. So, as you can see, it was a wonderful day and is one of my favourite childhood memories.雅思口语p2话题范文:童年回忆when and where the incident you remember happenedwho you were withwhat happened exactlyand explain why it is a happy memory. Childhood memories are strange things, because sometimes you can’t quite be sure if you really remember something, or if you just think you do because others have told you about it, or you have seen a photo of the event later on. I’m going to talk to you about a memory that I’m very confident is real. I’ll tell you what it is, when it happened, how it affected me and why I still remember it.The memory is the earliest one I have of me and my Dad. I was very small indeed, I’m not exactly sure how old, but I’dguess about three years old, maybe even younger. My Dad was not a particularly tall or strong man, but I was small enough, and by comparison, he was big enough then, for me to stand with both my feet on one of his, and to reach up with my arms and cling onto his leg. I would then hang on and laugh delightedly as he tried to go about his daily business, walking around the house with me gripping on tightly refusing to be budged. It was a favourite game.I don’t know that I can honestly say it affected me in my life. However, in m y family, we don’t really talk about things very much or do a lot together. We don’t live particularly close to one another so see each other rather infrequently. I suppose the way the incident affected me was by making me at a subconscious level feel close to my Dad even years later as we had shared that happy play time together when I was tiny.I didn’t know I had held onto this memory until quite recently. Sadly my Dad died, he had been very ill for a long time, so it wasn’t unexpected, but of course it was very sad. I wanted to say something about him at his funeral, and I wanted to pick a memory that was personal just to him and to me. For some reason that image of me tiny and laughing and him solemnly ‘pretending’ that he hadn’t noticed I was there cam e into my mind and it seemed very appropriate somehow to share that one. It was a happy memory, but also an intimate one. I think he would have been really pleased that I could recall it so many decades later. So why can I remember it? I’m not sure, but I like to think the memory was there dormant all the time just waiting for the moment when I needed to retrieve it. It is a comforting thing to recall. The human mind is an amazing thing!雅思口语素材:童年听过的故事用于话题“童年听过的故事”舍与得(双语)There once was a master who went to india. in those times, we didn't have the communications or airplanes or many kinds of transportation that we do now. so the master went to india on foot. he had never been to india before; perhaps he came from persia. and when he got there, he saw a lot of fruit. in india they have plenty of fruit to sell, but much of it is expensive because they can't grow much due to the water situation. so he saw one basket, a big basket of some very red, long fruit. and it was the cheapest in the shop, not expensive at all.

I watched this drama 3 years ago. The drama has 4 seasons and all of them are quite gripping. The drama is about 2 brothers who break the prison in order to provetheir innocence. 3

This drama is an action thriller. I know that you might heard of these types of dramas a lot so I wish I could come with another word which could clearly distinguish from this ordinary word. I live in a conservative society where children are not allowed to watch movies or dramas with parental guide and even if they are allowed the dramas should not e某pose the children to adult content. This drama does not contain any vulgar content, yet it is very interesting.

We divided up the responsibilities among my friends and I, so that everything would be taken care of. Some of us were responsible for setting up the court, while others were in charge of managing the teams and keeping score. I was in charge of refereeing, which required me to remain 专注and fair throughout each game. There were a few hiccups during the tournament, but we managed to resolve them quickly and efficiently. One team had a dispute over a call, but we were able to settle it amicably by having them replay the game. Another issue was with the sound system, which was not working properly. We quickly found a solution by using a backup system so that the games could continue without any interruption.Throughout the tournament, I had the opportunity to referee some amazing games and meet many interesting people. One of the most memorable moments was when a player from the opposing team thanked me for being fair and objective during the game. Describe a teenager who you knowYou should sayHow old they areHow and where you met him or herWhat you and this person do togetherWhat kind of person he or she isAnd explain how you feel about him or herOk, so the topic on my card is to describe a teenager I know, and I suppose Iwould like to talk about Lucy, my next door neighbor’s daughter. Now going on to my next point which is how and where I met this person, what I’d like to add here is that we have been neighbors for 3 years. Every time she saw me, she said hello to me. We chatted some times and I found her an easygoing person, and then, as you can see, we became good friends.Moving onto the business of what kind of person she is, I should underline the fact that she is a talkative girl who has a wide range of interests. Her mother is a professor majoring in communications and Lucy travelled a lot with her mother. She is fascinated by collecting different souvenirs especially something with unique historical significances. Whenever she took on a journey, she would keep a travelogue noting the fancies she encountered on the road, which she would share with me later when she came back. She also inherited the passion towardsphotograph from her mother. Furthermore, she has a very amiable personalityand people feel at ease when communicating with her. Finally then, if there’s time, I could deal with the last point of what kind of relationship I have with her. It is obvious that as we are at the same age, there is no generation gap between us when we are talking. Sometimes she showed meher photos and I would like to share the latest films and books with her just like what normal friends do. So the moment I read the topic, Lucy’s name came to my mi nd immediately. That’s all what I want to say.- 2 -1-好邻居Describe a good neighbor of yoursYou should sayHow long you have known this neighborWhat sort of person they areHow often you see themAnd explain why you consider this person to be a good neighborOk, so the topic on my card is to describe a good neighbor I know, and I suppose I would like to talk about my next door neighbor, Lucy. Now going on to my next point which is how long I knew this person, what I’d like to add here is that we have been neighbors for 3 years. Every time she saw me,she said hello to me. We chatted some times and I found her an easygoing person, and then, as you can see, we became good friends.Moving onto the business of what kind of person he is, I should underline the fact that she is a talkative girl who has a wide range of interests. Her mother is a professor majoring in communications and Lucy travelled a lot with her mother. She has been to Nepal and Tibet, where I have always desired to be. Whenevershe took on a journey, she would keep a travelogue noting the fancies she encountered on the road. She also inherited the passion towards photograph from her mother. Furthermore, she has a very amiable personality and people feel at ease when communicating with her. Finally then, if there’s time, I could deal with the last point of why I consider Lucy to be a good neighbor. It is obvious that as we are at the same age, there is no generation gap between us when we are talking. I am really fascinated by her travelling experience and she also taught me yoga, meditation and other aerobics. So the moment I read the topic, Lucy’s name came to my mind immediately. That’s all what I want to say.- 3 -1-一见如故Describe a person who became your good friend at the first meetingYou should sayWho the person wasWhen you first met this personWhat you did togetherAnd explain why you became good friends at the first meetingOk, so the topic on my card is to describe a person who became my good friend at the first meeting, and I suppose I would like to talk about my next door neighbor, Lucy. Now going on to my next point which is how I knew this person, what I’d like to add here is that we have been neighbors for 3 years. Every time she saw me, she said hello to me. This period could provide me an opportunity to communicate with them and furtherour affection. Communication is vital to maintain a relationship, especially for young people like us.Moving onto the business of what I would like to do on the leisure days, I should underline the fact that I would like to read books over a cup of milk tea or coffee. Besides, we will do some cooking at home and whenever a delicious dish is prepared, we will feel so proud of ourselves. In my view, we can even just stand side by side, making cookies, laughing together, which may make us feel relaxed and secured. Finally then, if there's time, I could deal with the last point of why I think it will be a perfect holiday. To tell you the truth, I am not crazy about travelling outside, which is too troublesome in my eyes. I regard the perfect holiday as a time that I could relax myself and release stress from my heavy study load. What’s more, as with his regular duties, he inquisitively collected artifacts of human civilization. He falls in love with another robot named EVE, who also has a programmed task, and follows her into outer space on an adventure that changes the destiny of both his kind and humanity. Moving onto the business of how I felt about the robot, I should underline the fact that these robots exhibit an appearance of free will and emotions similar to humans, which develop further as the film progresses. Frankly speaking, I regarded the robot as the great progress that made by human-beings. I strongly believe that the robot could change our future life, which would be more convenient for us to do something beyond our abilities. However, we can’t rely too much on robots, otherwise human beings will suffer from obesity and our planetwill get stuck in crisis as the film indicates. Human beings must take a prudent attitude in employing robots. With a cubic body, Wall-e designed to clean up a waste-covered Earth. What’s more, as with his regular duties, he inquis itively collected artifacts of human civilization. For instance, the Open University program, which is produced by BBC, has been aired for more than forty years. It is so successful that it set a good example for the other public educational programs. Many British people who don’t have a chance to study in a college have learned knowledge from this program. Because of this program, some of them are able to seek further education and get a college degree, which offers them more opportunities for better jobs. Moreover, theservices have provided a competitive relationship with other media services agencies, leading to the increase in service quality of this industry. The title itself is a play onwords, as the series would show you ‘how to’do certain things. The show is aimed at kids in middle school or high school. The hosts would routinely do experiments to demonstrate science in action, I remember one in particular where the presenters were trying to pour water out of a bottle in the quickest way possible. The winner had a very good technique whereby she would swirl the water, creating a vortex and causing the liquid to fly out of the bottle far quicker than any of the others’. As you would expect, the show got me interested in science and learning, but it also showed that you could do many experiments yourself and have fun at home, with everyday objects and materials that were easy to get hold of. At school we would need equipment and the teacher would have to supervise us, but at home we could be left to our own devices, with just a bottle and some water to keep us amused.

Do you prefer to buy things in small shops or in big supermarkets and department stores? Well,I’m more into small shops if I would like to buy things that are special, you know, something like shoes,or accessories. But if I need to buy foods or electrical equipment, then it’s more likely that I would go to a department store, which is more reliable …2. “Yes/No问题”Part 3真题:Do you think healthy eating is important? Yes,eating healthy foods is necessary in many ways, especially that it can prevent some diseases like diabetes. But I think that it is fine to eat a little unhealthy foods in moderation,in fact,we have to say that most of the fast foods are tastier than healthy foods…

Part 1真题:Have you travelled recently? 1 :Yes, I have. (Direct answer)Last month(when) I went to Hong Kong(where) with my parents(who). We had a great time at the Disney Land and went shopping, too.(what) 思路演示2:No,I haven’t(Direct answer). I’m been busy with my studies(why). But after the exam(when), my parents and I(who)are going to Hong Kong and we would like to go to Disney Land and go shopping, too. (what)Part 2真题:Describe a library that you have used. You should say:where it waswhat type of library it waswhat you used the library forwhat you liked and /or disliked about this libraryand explain how useful it was for your studies or research.思路演示:“where it was”: on campus(Direct answer)(Where):It was next to our teaching building of English Department (When) : It was built 50 years ago when our school was established. (Who) : Most of the students liked to go there as well as the teachers (How often): I almost went there everyday especially around exam time.
