We use many colours for our feelings. Blue can mean “sad”.

In China , red is a happy colour. Don’t be scared. Don’t be angry.

1 In the song，the singer says“I feel blue”.在歌曲中，歌手唱到“我感到很忧伤”。

feel blue意为“忧伤，沮丧，情绪低落，忧愁苦闷。”feel是系动词，表示“感觉”，后跟形容词。例如：

We all feel happy today。我们今天都很高兴。

2 In English，we use many colours for our feelings.在英文中，我们用很多颜色来表示我们的

心情。

use……for……意为“用……做……”，也可以说use……to do……。例如：

We use our pens to write.=We use our pens for writing.=We write with our pens我们用钢笔写字。

3 Don’t be scared. 不要害怕。

“Don’t be+形容词”是否定句的祈使句，表示“不，不要……“，此外，“Don’t+动词原形”也构成否定的祈使句。“Be+形容词”或者“Do（动词原形）……”是肯定的祈使句，意为“（一定）要……”。例如：

Please be careful. 请小心Don’t be late.不要迟到。

Stand up，please。请起立。Don’sit down。不要坐下。
