教学目的:帮助学生掌握以上两种时态的不同之处,提高学生对时态的应用能力。

It was Sunday and we were sitting at the table when father suddenly smiled and said to us,"Oh,dear me.I forgot to tell you the good news.There's a letter from Granny.She's coming to see us this afternoon.I'm going to meet her at the station." With these words he went out.
How happy we were!We hadn't seen Granny for half a year and "missed her very much.After lunch my mother and I went shopping.We bought a lot of food that Granny liked.My sister cleaned the house.It was four o'clock when we finished and we sat around the table,waiting for Granny,At last the door opened and in came my father,alone."Where's Granny?" we asked.Father laughed and said,"April Fools!" "Today is April 1st,April Fool's Day."
After we heard this we all laughed,too.
一般现在时态
一、用法:“经常发生的动作或存在的状态”要分三层来讲:
一是“经常发生的动作”,比如每天起床、吃饭、上学,一个星期去几趟超市或新华书店等。这些事件中,有的是有规律的,有的是偶尔做几次。这些都算经常发生的事件。我们要告诉人们的,是这个动作经常发生,是一般的情况而不是具体的某一次。
e.g. I leave home for school at 7:00 every morning.
二是事物存在的状态。She is a teacher./There is a book on the desk./The house is at the foot of the hill.
三是有些动作或状态是永恒的,比如长江向东流、地球绕着太阳转,比如谚语中举的事例、文学作品中描绘的事例,像“好马不吃回头草”等等。
e.g The earth moves around the sun./The facts speak louder than words./The honesty is the best policy./Pride goes before a fall.骄者必败。
二、动词的变化规律:
构成方法读音例词
一般情况加-s 清辅音后读/s/
浊辅音和元音后读/z/
swim-swims;help-helps;
like-likes
以辅音字母+o结尾的词加-es 读/z/ goes,does
以s,sh,ch,x等结尾的词加-es 读/iz/ watches,washes 以辅音字母+y结尾的词变y 为i再加es 读/z/ study-studies
不规则变化have和be动词变have 为has have-has
变be为am,is,are be-am,is,are
三、时间状语:sometimes/usually/often/every day(week,year)/ now/always

一般过去式:
“过去”的概念并不是只指如“yesterday,last week,… ” 等,实际上“与现在对立的过去”,亦即“非现在的以前”,哪怕是“过了说话时间的几分钟之前”,只要所要表达的时间与说话时的“现在”形成对立,就必须使用一般过去时来表达。
(1)、表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态。I came home just now.
I got up very early this morning.(今天早晨我起床很早。)I went home at nine o'clock yesterday.
(2)、表示过去经常或反复发生的动作。Mrs. Peter always carried an umbrella.
规则动词过去式的构成:①一般情况下,在动词原形后直接加ed。如:wanted,played。
②以不发音的字母e结尾的动词,直接加d。如:hoped,lived。
③重读闭音节单词需双写最后一个辅音字母,再加ed。如:stopped, shipped。
④以辅音字母+y结尾的动词变y为i,再加ed。如:studied,worried。
不规则动词过去式的构成:
如:am(is)-was, are-were, go-went, eat-ate,swim-swam, buy-bought, see-saw,
teach-taught, bring-brought, think-thought,, hurt-hurt, break-broke, win-won,
常与一般过去时态连用的时间有: yesterday, yesterday morning (afternoon, evening…)
last night (week, month, term, year…)
two days ago, a week ago, three years ago…
in 1990, (in 1998…)
just now = a moment ago (刚才)
