Remember what I said? “Maybe he is too lonely to realize his loneliness.” Everyone of us has family and friends, if hey leave us one day, we will feel really sad. Because we are used to their love and accompany. But Leon has been lonely for a long time. His heart was broken, then lost. Now he is numb.
Mathilda
A 12 years old girl whose family has been killed by Stan. She is saved by Leon and then lives with him. She wants to revenge and kill Stan.
She is mature for she has gone through a lot of sufferings though she is very young. She is tough for she does not lose herself when facing with disastrous difficulties. She is pure and lively that she brings warmth, happiness and the taste of life to Leon.
Maybe being a killer can make him feel better, for the reason that love is just a burden for a hit man. But when he opened the door and saved Mathilda’s life, everything changed. Two similar souls come together. They warm each other and share the taste of life with each other. Léon the professional is not the kind of the movie which receives important awards or makes great contributions to movie’s history. But they are the legends which cannot be wiped away and can move us all the time. If you want to see it, no matter for the first time or the second time, please be quiet and appreciate the feeling Léon brings to you.
Maybe for some people, Leon is a professional hit man. But for me，Leon is just a lonely and simple man. I don’t know why he chose to become a killer, but I’m sure he did it not for power or money. His intelligence , calmness and efficiency in the missions are amazing, but back to his daily life, his loneliness often makes me feel grieved.
His job is cruel and cold, but I can feel the soft part in his heart. He waters his evergreen carefully and places it under sunshine everyday. When he goes to the cinema and watches <singing in the rain> alone, I’m touched by the purest smile in his face. He gives his handkerchief to Mathilda when seeing her crying.
Though Leon was an extremely professional hit man, he lived a very simple life. Exercising, watering his only plant, 2 large boxes of milk, and sometimes going to the cinema alone, are all his life. No family, no friend. Maybe he was too lonely to realize that.
