Jazz is very hard to describe because there are
now many different styles of jazz.
Improvisation [ɪm,prɔvɪ’zeɪʃən]即兴创作 is a key element. Scat-singing 拟声唱法 is also common.

Jazz is a style of music that originated at the beginning of the 20th century in African American communities in the Southern United States from a confluence [’kɔnflu:əns]汇集 of African and European music traditions.

Louis Armstrong was the greatest of all Jazz musicians.Armstrong defined what it was to play Jazz.His amazing technical abilities,the joy and spontaneity,and amazingly quick,inventive musical mind still dominate Jazz to this day.
