As soon as the man finished talking，Yu Gong said that his family could continue to move the mountains after he died.

Finally，a god was so moved by Yu Gong that he sent two gods to take the mountains away.

It doesn't seem very possible to move a mountain.

The story is trying to show us that anything is possible if you work hard.

Yu Gong kept trying and didn't give up.

I think we should try to find other ways to solve a problem.

What could Yu Gong do instead of moving the mountains?

That's better and faster than moving a mountain!

Then teacher：Do you know the song?

Students：Yes，we do.

Teacher：Do you know the name of the song?

Students：Yes，Yu Gong Moves a Mountain.

( Maybe the students can't say the name of the song in English) Teacher：Do you know how to say it in English？Now please read after me，“Yu Gong Moves a Mountain”．Today we are going to learn an old story “Yu Gong Moves a Mountain”．

环节说明：由歌曲《愚公移山》引出本节课要学的内容，易于引起学生的学习兴趣，使学生很快的投入到学习中去。

Step 2完成教材1a­1c的任务

1．学生朗读1a中的故事，教师纠正读音，然后背诵并且互相提问。(3分钟)

2．仔细观看图片，你们知道四幅图片涉及的是哪些故事吗？请将图片与1a 中的故事相匹配。完成后集体核对答案。(2分钟)

3．认真听录音，根据听到的内容选出Anna和Wang Ming 正在讨论的故事，集体核对答案。(3分钟)

4．再听一遍录音，并跟读对话。(2分钟)

5．两人一组互相讨论1c中的问题，完成后要求几组学生展示讨论的结果。(3分钟)。
