We should know that choosing to become self-employment is not because of necessity but because of more opportunities.
The conclusion
It’s too complicated and difficult to explain the cause of university students’ employment problem clearly on every aspects. But there is no doubt that solving it involves the government’s support, the enterprises’ duty, and the students themselves’ struggle. And I believe that, with all these efforts, it will be solved in the near future.
The meaning of self-employment is not realized by every person yet, however, we must be aware of its importance if we want to solve the problem of university students’ employment.

In the past decade years, the number of students graduating from universities has more than tripled, rising from about 2.1 million in 2003 to nearly 6.8 million in 2012. Although the employment rate has increased from 70% to around 90%, it’s not enough.
That is to say, more and more university students can’t find jobs after their graduation.

Taking Beijing as an example, contrary to the increasing number of college graduates, the demand of employers decreases a lot. With no doubt, it adds to the difficulty for graduates to get a job.
On one hand, university students’ attitudes towards occupation need changing to adapt to the new environment of employment.
On the other hand, the employers should pay attention to founding the staff training system rather than only attach too much importance to the experience of the applicants.
