Chinese civilization

Good manners are very important in the communication of daily life. Everyone likes a person with good manners, but human faces a big problem that civilization is ignored which is becoming more and more serious. So call for civilization has become a hot topic among people, especially among the youth and heated debates are right on their way. How does one know what should we do and what should we not to do when trying to be a good - mannered person? Well, here are some common examples. A person with good manners never speaking loudly in public places, they can obey the local regulations. Instead, according the reported a few days ago, a Chinese tourist was caught on video kicking the bell at Phra That Doi Suthep temple(双龙寺) in the Thailand. This is a very serious problem, the video has drawn many criticisms from netizen, saying the man was not being respectful in a place of worship. When he did like this, not only he losing his

face, but also losing motherland's face. There is no denying the fact that China is a civilized country and it has 5000 years history, but we can not inherit the good tradition. The lack of civilization posing a great threat to human's development. We should exploit to the full one's favorable conditions and avoid unfavorable ones, attach great importance to call of civilization.

In a word, the whole society should pay close attention to the problem of call of civilization. Only in this way can have a long way to go in the future. If we can not take useful means, we may not control this trend, and some undesirable result may come out unexpectedly, so we should do become more and more civilized.

文明是一面镜子

文明并非站在野蛮的对面,而是野蛮的一面镜子。这是我学历史课总也抹不去的一种印象。

历史的天空博大深远、浩瀚无边。其实,历史也很简单,正如我们历史老师讲的那样,无非是两个东东----野蛮与文明的争斗。但我总觉得,历史更应是野蛮与开化的一场

纠结,而文明则是它们的一面镜子。世上本没有镜子,同样,在野蛮时代人类并没有一个自省的工具,借以认识到自己的野蛮,人类像其它动物一样,保持着天然的欲望与野性----不过这样也好,人类自由自在,没有烦恼。文明是人类智慧点点滴滴的积累,有了文明这面镜子,人类便开始观察自己。比如在爱琴文明中,通过古希腊文化这面镜子,显现出其他民族的蛮动、暴烈、愚昧等等,这些我们称它为野蛮。当时的人们以讲希腊语为荣,说明人类认可了希腊民族的开化,由此人类有了参照物,变得智慧、善良、懂得关爱起来,这是一种自觉,我称它为开化,但大人们称它为文明,其实它跟文明并是不一会事儿。我坚持认为,文明只是人类的一面镜子,而开化则是野蛮的同胞弟弟。

不过,这两个亲兄弟的秉性大不相同。野蛮是一种自然本性,如同往低处滚动的木头,不敢放任;而开化则是一种自省自觉,如同往高处攀爬的脚夫,需要努力。人类本没有什么不同,只是在野蛮、开化附身之后,才变得千差万别,良莠不齐。但是,野蛮、开化总纠缠在一起,分不清你我,让人难辨是非真伪。于是,人类非常需要文明这面镜子,来昭示哪是野蛮,哪是开化。更重要的是,人类想通过文明这面镜子的反射,催化开化之美,教化野蛮之愚,实现人类的共同发展与进步,但这往(转载于: 小龙文档

像易碎的玻璃镜一样,文明有时是脆弱的。野蛮不爱照镜子,甚至发了野性能把镜子摔得粉碎。在暴烈的野蛮面前,人类需要用更强大的开化去感化它,甚至战胜它,但从来不是俘虐它。这一尺度的把握,离不开文明这只规尺。要不然,说不准那一天原子弹也像打布什的皮鞋一样扔来扔去的。

开化之间也有分歧甚至争斗,但从不头破血流,死掐到底。南北战争一打就结束了,为子民,为家园,大家握握手各自回家,好了;英法国王为了争夺土地,战争打了一百年没停,“当两国的皇族及贵族为了自己所夺得的利益而庆祝的时候,那些痛失家园及亲人的无辜平民却只能在无声地痛哭。”因此,我觉得,开化与开化大差也不差,野蛮与野蛮分歧却很大。

由于文明是野蛮的镜子,所以野蛮的影子总是在文明的心中晃来晃去的。一个号称文明巨邦的美国,抡起拳头就打人,一个紧跟世界文明一步不落的日本,曾经多少次暴打亚洲人民却理直气壮,从不忏悔。在野蛮与开化的纠结中,人类变得越来越开化,但在文明这一明镜前,野蛮也变得越来越会化妆,像画皮一样,打扮得比美人还美。
