Chapter I. Introduction
Since ancient times family education was to be concerned and so is t oday in China. According to the traditional concept, family education is bringing up children in family life. And according to the modern concept, it involves understanding, respect among family members.
1.1 the Importance of Family Education
Soviet educator Sukhomlinsky‟s book the 100 recommendations to the teacher wrote: "I want to start our education and training of children, compared to a piece of marble, several sculptors all came to it with a knife, to shape it into a statue so that it has a spiritual, reflecting the ideals of the people. Who were these sculptors? The first sculptor is family, and in family the most meticulous and most talent person is mother; second is teacher, he has spiritual wealth, wisdom, knowledge, capacity, hobby and life experience… "As the Sukhomlinsky‟s words, family education is a vital and indispensable part.
1.2 Methodology and Structure
This paper use s s urvey method,observation method,literature study method and case study method. Through adopting these methods, more systematic and comprehensive methods i ntroduced the importance of family education. Among them the method of literature research and survey method are more used. The case analysis are demonstrated the different personalities of children and what measures parents should take to the education.
The paper is divided into five chapters, for the first chapter, it give s a general idea of the importance of family education. For the second chapter, it introduces the functions of family education. In this chapter, it is divided into three parts, the first one is family education life‟s education, second is family education is individual education, last is family education emotion education. The third chapter is about the influence of family education. It contains six small parts. They are the parents ' cultural awareness, the parents educational methods,inappropriate ways to criticize child,family relationships, the family's living conditions and parents‟attitude to
children. In this chapter, observation methods are more used, through things which happened around us. Different factors on children‟growth are different, including how to blame and give more opportunity to try again. So the way of criticizing children is also important in parenting. The next part is how to teach children in an appropriate way. In this chapter, the parent can be the c hild‟s faithful listener; they can create a harmonious family environment, they can use the "appreciated" vision to children…the last part is conclusion.
