本书运用历史唯物主义观点，以“基层组织”、“财政金融”、“世界大势”为三个支点，重新审视了公元1500年以来的世界历史进程，从地缘政治的变动，财政金融体制和政治变革的角度，重新回答了“李约瑟之谜”——即“近代中国何以落伍”的问题，指出：理论与现实结合、政治与民众结合、财政金融制度与生产发展和民生结合，乃是中国复兴和中国道路的三个关键点。

This book studies the history of world since 1500 from the historical materialism view, on the basis of grassroots organization 基层组织，finance财政金融，and the situation of world. Besides, this book answers theJoseph Needham Puzzle--the question of "why modern China is out of date"，and points out that the combinations of theory and reality, politics and citizens, finance and livelihood are the three key points in ChinaRenaissance and Chinese Road.
