Dou E Yuan（The Injustice to Dou E,also known as Snow in Midsummer) is a famous classical tragedy about a woman named Dou E who suffers a miscarriage of justice,the truch of which is only uncowered after she has been put to death.

Among his achievements is the development and popularizing of the sanqu (散曲) lyric type of Classical Chinese poetry forms. The poem "Autumn Thoughts" (秋思, Qiūsī) from the book '东篱乐府' is the most widely known of his sanqu poems.

Bai Renfu（1226－1316），whose given name is “Pu” and who styled himself as “Taisu”（太素）.He is a opera maker and composer.And he altogether with Guan Hanqing,Ma Zhiyuan and Zheng Guangzu is named"The Drama of Four Masters". Master works:

Crows hovering over rugged trees wreathed with rotten vine—the day is about done. Yonder s a tiny bridge over a sparkling stream, and on the far bank, a pretty little village. But the traveler has to go on down this ancient road, the west wind moaning, his bony horse groaning, trudging towards the sinking sun, farther and farther away from home.
Yuan Qu,a representative literature genre （体裁） of the Yuan Dynasty,can be categorized into zaju and sanqu.Zaju is a form of variety musical dramma,in which actors tell the story through singing and speaking,while sanqu is a form of lyric poetry,similar to the Tang Shi-poetry and the Song ci-poetry,yet bearing its own distinctive artistic features.

Guan Hanqing ， sobriquet（绰号） “the Oldman of the Studio” (斋叟Zhāisǒu), was a notable（著名的） Chinese playwright and poet in the Yuan Dynasty. He has been described as among the most prolific （多产的） and highly regarded dramatists（剧作家） of the Yuan period. Guan spent much of his later life in Dadu and produced about 65 plays, mostly in the vernacular（社会 习惯语，方言）of the time. He wrote many outstanding plays and was addressed as the leading dramatist of the Yuan Dynasty.

Ma Zhiyuan, courtesy name Dongli (東籬), was a Chinese poet and celebrated（著名的） playwright, a native of Dadu (大都, present-day Beijing) during the Yuan Dynasty.
The Great Revenge of the Orphan of Zhao
The play has as its full name The Great Revenge of the Orphan of Zhao (趙氏孤兒大報仇 ).The play is classified in the zaju genre of dramas.It revolves around the central theme of "revenge".The play is divided into six parts, comprising five acts (折 zhe) and a wedge (楔子 xiezi), which may be an interlude or—as it is in this case—a prologue.It contains both dialogue and songs.The story of The Orphan of Zhao takes place during the Spring and Autumn period.The protagonists are General Han Jue in the first act, the retired Minister Gongsun Chujiu (公孙杵 臼) in the second and third act, and the Zhao orphan in the final two acts. The Orphan of Zhao was the earliest Chinese play to be known in Europe.

The Western Chamber西厢记
The Western Chamber is based on the story Biography of Ying-ying(莺莺传) which was written during the Tang Dynasty.The author re-worked the story in order to meet the requirements of the play.The play was written on a large scale,with twenty-one acts in five volumes（卷）.With a complicated plot and graceful language the author combined classic poetry with vivid dialogue to portray this authentic,romantic love story.
