环境污染
1.Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world. For example, cars have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe and poisonous gas is given off by factories. Trees on the hills have been cut down and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers.Furthermore, wherever we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. Pollution is, in fact, threatening our existence.The earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of itfor ourselves and for our later generations. Fortunately, more and more people have realized these problems. Measures have been taken to cope with these problems by the government. Laws have been passed to stop pollution. I hope the problem will be solved in the near future and our home will become better and better.
2.How to save environment? I think we should do the followings: First, it’s best to ride a bike to school, don’t take a bus or a taxi. Second, I will remember to turn off the lights when I leave the classroom. Third, in my free time, I will collect the empty bottles and waste paper for recycling. The fourth idea is turning off the shower when I ‘m not using it. Fifth, it is imporment to save water and money. Also, I won’t spend too much money on expensive things. Last, we had better not cut down the trees,
we have to take care of the trees . I’ll try my best to save the energy, I hope I can do something for our country.

In the past hundred years, there have heen frequent natural disasters, such as floods, droughts, mud-rock flows, earthquakes, windstorms and the stretching of new deserts. The disasters have killed millions upon millions of people, destroyed countless homes, and wiped out numerous pieces of fertile land.
Now more and more people become aware that those disasters have much to do with what we have done to the earth. We have cut down too many trees in the forests,we have badly polluted the environment, we have shocked our own home-planet time and again with tremendously powerful explosions of nuclear bombs. As a result, climates have become abnormal, rainwater rushes down hillsides angrily, and the underground energy goes up to revenge itself on us.
The earth is our only home-planet. It is urgent for us to stop damaging it, and to do our best to protect it and make it a lovely place suitable to live in, for we have nowhere to go and survive except where we are now.

Ladies and Gentlemen: Good afternoon. My speech today is about “share the games, share our dreams”. Yes, that’s right, that’s exactly the slogan of the second Youth Olympic Games (YOG). It is pretty cool! I was born in Nanjing and live in Nanjing, and I love it very much. When I heard that Nanjing is going to hold the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, I feel so happy and excited. Why？Firstly, there would be many kinds of sports including swimming, cycling, and football and so on. They are all performed by the best youth athletes around the world, it’s really spectacular and worth watching. Secondly, I believe with this world-wide game, we could introduce our beautiful city and rich culture to the world, so we could know each other better and be friends. Besides, I’m a fan of these sports myself. I like play badminton and tennis best. I usually play them with my classmates as long as we are free. For one thing, the sports not only strengthened my body, taught me how to cooperate, what’s more, I also made many friends through these activities. So we should not only take part in the sports in the track and field, but also exercise in our daily life. That’s a healthier life s tyle! By sharing the games, eventually, I believe, we could share our dreams!!! Thank you all.

Nowadays, more and more people like to travel in their holidays. T he other day I read a report about the ways people spend their hol idays. It is reported that in recent yiars several new holiday habits have been developed. Among them, the most interesting one is the growth of the so-called holiday camps.
From the report we can see that in 1990,40 percent of people stayed at home for holidays. But now the proportion has reduced t o 9 percent. More people go out for fun. The proportion of campin g and traveling abroad was increasing steadily, from 10 percent in 1990 to 38 percent in 2002, and 12 percent in 1990 to 26 percent in 2002 respectively. People enjoy the fresh air, clean Water and G REen hills when they go camping in the suburbs. In 1990,38 perce nt people enjoyed going to the seaside while in 2002 only 27 perc ent prefer to go there. What great changes!
Why did those changes appear? I think there are several reaso ns. First, it' s because people can afford traveling. Second, people prefer to pursue a high-quality and colorful life. Third, their attitude s to relaxation have changed. Less people want to save much mone y by leading a simple life. In short, people's living standard today has been rising GREatly.

it is a story talks about a black girl named precious .precious isx fat and not beautiful. her bad temped mother never workx, always cheated others to relieve her ,and atex while watching tv all day.what is worse ,precious was only 16,but she had pregnant for twice .out of assumption ,her child is her farther 's child .living in this life ,she alawys imagine to avoid facing her life .fortunately,with the help and careness of the teacher and doctor ,her life became not so bad .
precious has a tough life ,and if she gives up her life and does not join the adult education ,she will not meet the teacher and her life may not be changed .when we xfaced with the difficulty x,avoidingx is not a good way for us. it can not solve the problems.what we need to do is that analying the cause and trying to changed our place .so we should be brave and face the trap directly.
the film also teachs us to love others.precious is someone who may exit near us .if precious own a good family and some friends,she may not fell so despaired. in spite of the development of our world ,there still many

When the issue of poisonous milk powder gains an overwhelming focus from the public, what are
these malefactors doing? As we can see from the depiction, enterprise, milk station, milch cow and
even grass are trying to find someone scapegoating for this credit crisis, in my view point, that’s
nothing to do with the credit but the problem of responsibility. Responsibility is a keyword that we should never disregard, defined not only as the courage to face
every foreseeable risk, but as the braveness to entail every malpractice when it really takes place as
well. The causes of the shortage of responsibility or even conscience may be as follows. Firstly,
inner cause ascribing probably to the destructive influence emanating from the decay of morality
may result in the over-materialism .Furthermore, outerly , deficient supervisal gives rise to the fearless adventurer who is
at the risk of anything ,not to say to deviate from his own liability ,to pursue as many as profits. A case
in point is the Melamine-laced Milk Incident which almost destroyed the whole of China’s milk industry.
It is imperative that drastic measures should be taken to end this thorny situation, such as enacting
related law to reinforce our supervisal mechanism to avoid the behavior of kicking the ball when
something bad happen and promoting social entities to regain one of Chinese traditional virtues,
which is called “who would enter the hell if I wouldn’t”,that means, undoubtedly, to learn to be
responsible for the blunder means sensible unflinchingness.

now，everyone konws water is importent.people can't live wihout it.so it's very importent for us to protect it.but how we can do for saving it ? I
think we can do some things that everyone can do,like don't turn on the tap during we wash hands or vegetables.also,we can use the water that used to water the flowes.I think we can do everything that we can to protect the water,the most importent thing is if we can persevere.if
everyone tries thier best to protect,i think nothing is impossible.
We should protect and save water resources. Protection and conservation of water resources, from my start from the side of the little things, such as: The Tao Mishui Watering with hand-washing water, flush toilets, faucets when not in use should be tightened. Usually not directed at cleaning
things up washing long time.
As we all know, plants and animals need water, so do the people's life and production could't go on without water.
WIth the rapid development of agriculture and industry, more and more water is needed. therefore, water is becoming scare in many places.
What's more, a lot of rivers and lakes are begining polluted by the waste waster from factories. Fish can't live in them any longer. at the same time, the waste water does great harm to people's health.
In order to make rivers and lakes clean and prevent water from being polluted , we must do something to stop all sorts of pollution.

December 4th, 2012, will be the first-ever Wildlife Conservation Day. Our goal is to inform more people about this global conservation crisis. Attacks on rhinos and elephants are multiplying at an alarming rate. Species around the globe such as tigers in Asia are endangered. By some estimates, the black market for wildlife trafficking is rivaled in size only by the illegal arms and drug trade. The slaughter of endangered species robs communities of income from tourism, reduces biodiversity, encourages corruption, undermines good governance.
Animals are natural resources that people have wasted all through our history. Animals have been killed for their fur and feathers, for food, for sport, and simply because they were in the way. Thousands of kinds of animals have disappeared from the earth forever. Hundreds more are on the danger list today. About 170 kinds in the United States aloneare considered in danger.
Why should people care? Because we need animals, and because once they are gone, there will never be any more.Animals are more than just beautiful or interesting. They are more than just a source of food. Every animal has its place in the balance of nature. Destroying one kind of animal can create many problems. For example, when farmers killed
large nu mbers of hawks, the farmers’ stores of corn and grain were destroyed by rats and mice. Why? Because hawks eat rats and mice, with no hawks to keep down their numbers, the rats and mice multiplied quickly.
Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or planton the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.
传统节日
Many young people in China today prefer Western holidays to tradi tional Chinese festivals. Christmas is now celebrated by the younger generation all over China, and it has become especially popular as a romantic holiday for boyfriends and girlfriends or young married couples. Valentine's Day is also extremely popular, and even Hallo ween is being celebrated now.
This phenomenon has actually developed quite naturally in rece nt decades due to our educational system's focus on English study and therefore on English-speaking cultures. To many students, West
ern culture has become a symbol of self-expression and freedom fr om restraint. Celebrating Western holidays has become a way for st udents to express their love of something different from traditional Chinese culture, and to have fun together with their own generatio n.
In my opinion, it's fine for students learning English and study ing English-speaking cultures to celebrate Western holidays with the ir teachers and classmates. However, the way I see it, unless the y oung people later go abroad to live in those cultures, there is no r eason for them to continue to celebrate them. We Chinese should h old on to our traditional festivals, the festivals which we have cele brated for centuries.
