摘要：本论文借助女性主义理论解读英国当代作家多丽丝·莱辛的小说《金色笔记》，挖掘作品中体现出的女性主义意识。通过聚焦主人公安娜的女性困境和身份构建经历，展示安娜作为作家、共产主义者、情人、母亲这几种不同身份的女人所面临的种种现实问题，以此发现莱辛在小说中所运用的女性主义视角，揭示小说关于性别问题的社会批判意义。

On Doris Lessing’s Feminism in The Golden Notebook

Abstract：This paper based on the theory of feminism, interpreters The Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing, the contemporary British writer to disclose the feminist consciousness in this novel. Anna, the protagonist, while fulfilling different role in society as a writer, a communist, a lover and a mother, demonstrates a typical discourse of women’s difficul ties in reality and feminist experience self-constructon. This paper concludes that Lessing excels in her use of feminist perspective to produce a social critique in terms of gender study.

Doris Lessing (1919- ) is widely regarded as one of the most important post-war female writers in England with remarkable feminist veiws on contemporary life. Her novel The Golden Notebook with its profound concern to women’s problems has invited significant response from literary scholars as well as common readers. Wang Zuoliang in his History of British Literature of 20th century (2004) has stated that the unique form of The Golden Notebook reflects Lessing’s views of modern life. Elaine Showalter express her fascination with the novel’s highly political theme and narrative structure as well. (Showalter, 2004: 308). Through the analysis of Anna Wulf the protagonist, we may find adequate evdience of a feminist discourse.

In conclusion, all the difficulties and choices Anna has to deal with when she goes through her different social role are enchanting exampes of women’s experience. Thus, Lessing has voiced her reflection on the fate of contemporary women in the west.
