Abstract. The backup power plays an important emergency supply role in industrial field and agricultural field. The emergency supply power (such as generator and Uninterrupted Power System etc.) is a standby state in most of the time. These devices only start to ensure electricity supply on the condition of power lose or power failure. It is difficult for users to know its real load performance. This paper designed a kind of intelligent AC (Alternating current) load test system based on PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to solve the problem. There are signal acquisition part, the dummy load component and parameter display control part in testing load testing system, which can meet the general users of emergency power supply in daily inspection. We design the intelligent control for high performance and fine test users. The test results show that the intelligent AC load systems based on PLC can effectively detect power generation units and UPS emergency power supply in according with national standards.

Introduction

Electric power industry is the lifeline of the national economy, is an important pillar industry. With the rapid development of national economy, urban and rural electric load grow with each passing day, the power supply quality and reliability requirements are also getting higher and higher. After decades of research, this power technology has been greatly development. Germany, Italy and Japan are in the advanced level in this field and have realized industrialization [1-2].

In order to ensure the power supply for key departments, such as the network data center, data exchange center, the financial settlement center, all of these sector equipments can not lose power in any times. In these conditions these sectors adopt "electric supply and backup generator unit and UPS (Uninterruptible Power System)" power supply mode. UPS is middle power segment between the electric supply stop and the generator power supply. The battery power can supply to the important load without delay, which can ensure the power do not cut off before the start of diesel generator power supply. And when the diesel generating units start, the UPS acts as the load charge unit. UPS and generating sets act as emergency power supply after the blackout; most of the time is the standby state. These devices only start to ensure electricity supply on the condition of power lose or power failure. It is difficult for users to know its real load performance [3]. However, it is often in the case, the power failure occurred and the same time we find the performance of diesel generators and UPS can not meet the demand. We require the introduction of alternative load equipment to solve the output power and the carrying capacity detection problem for all kinds of generator and UPS equipment.Dummy load device can simulate the real load application, so as to accurately test the output power of power unit and UPS equipment and load capacity [4]. Computer analysis software can generate test report though test generator and UPS equipment data process changes. So we can establishment archives for equipment management running status. AC dummy load intelligent test equipment has been installing HMI (Human Machine Interface) in the communication industry to solve the problem of testing. The backup power supply problems can be solved for the enterprise with load. The intelligent AC load systems based on PLC can effectively detect power generation units and UPS emergency power supply in according with national standards [5].
