common term, personal computer, or PC, which is a small single-user computer based on a microcomputer. Workstation is a powerful single-user computer. Mainframe or mainframe computer is a powerful multiuser computer. Minicomputer is a multi-user computer of mainframe. Supercomputer is an extremely fast computer that can perform hundreds of millions of instructions per second.
