【范文一】

Dear Sir/Madam,

No pains,no gains.第4页共5页

I want to be a volunteer for the G20 Summit Meeting held in Hangzhou. For one thing, being friendly to others is the most important quality for being a volunteer. I not only get on well with others, but enjoy helping others when they are in trouble. I once volunteered at an Old People’s Home in our community. There I taught the old to read and sing. Sometimes they told me stories and I just sat beside them, listening. When I saw the joy on their faces, a strong feeling of satisfaction rose and I couldn’t stop smiling.

For another, I can speak English well and I often communicate with foreign students in our school. I’ll try my best to help visitors from home and abroad if I am a volunteer at the G20 Summit Meeting.

I’m looking forward to your reply.

Yours,

Lin Tao

【范文二】

Dear friends,

This year, the government of our country will make comments on the civilized cities again. In order to keep the title of “Civilized City”, we must take actions to make Hangzhou a better place to live in.

Civilization means good behaviors as well as excellent environment. Be friendly and polite when you talk with others if it is necessary, but remember not to break traffic rules or destroy public things. As for environmental protection, we can plant more trees and pick up rubbish as soon as we see it. But we’d better not paint on the wall or waste paper or water. We should recycle, reuse and reduce.

Everyone can make a big difference. Let’s try our best to keep our city clean and tidy.

Yours,

Lin Tao 【范文三】

Dear Helen,

I know your feeling since I used to have the same trouble when I was at your age. What you said is that you can’t get on well with your parents because they want you to study harder and even make you do housework, which makes you extremely upset.

In my opinion, communication is the best way to deal with these problems. First of all, tell them that you are not a kid anymore and you can finish schoolwork alone. Secondly, get up early in order to have enough time to dress up. As for clothes, whatever you wear, make sure they are clean and tidy so that you can look so charming. Last but not least, do housework as much as you can when you have time. If your parents are too busy, why not help them do some chores to give them some time to relax?

Hope things will work out.

Yours,

Yu Le
