April 1, 1976 : Apple was established by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne, to sell the Apple I personal computer kit.
April 16, 1977: The Apple II was introduced.
May 1980: The company introduced the Apple III in and attempted to compete with IBM and Microsoft in the business and corporate computing market.

1978: Steve Jobs began working on the Apple Lisa . He was pushed from the Lisa team due to infighting, and took over low-cost-computer project, the Macintosh.

1989-1991: the “first golden age” of the Macintosh 1991-1993: fall in other products 1994: Apple allied with IBM and Motorola in the AIM alliance. November 10, 1997: Apple introduced the Apple Online Store, tied to a new build-toorder manufacturing strategy.

Jobs and Apple
In 1976, Steve Jobs and Wozniak founded Apple. They cobbled together their combination of a microprocessor, a video screen and keyboard. The inventors called it the Apple I. In 1986,Jobs left the company and started his own company NeXT. In 1996, Jobs returned to Apple and served as the CEO. In recent years, Apple has made a series of successful products such as iPod, iTunes, iPad and iPhone.
