brazillian architecture studio nimbu has proposed a concept plan for the ac-ca 'contemporary art museum in buenos aires' competition.

based off the concept of taking contemporary creative practices as a reference in the design process of urban spaces for creative and cultural production, education becomes a place of encounter and the creation of new relations. w ith traditional museums, there is a separation

of spaces and roles that goes against the potential of grow th w ithin modern art, w here this concept introduces the possibility for a

building to coexist in conjunction betw een exhibition and craft.

'production modules' are included in in the top level, measuring six meters in height, conforming to the largest enclosed space of the museum.

the room closest to the groundfloor is a box of glass that opens up to the city view, exposing the river and puente de la mujer w hich is located

on the angle of the north and east facades. the main access incorporates the natural flow of the sidew alk of puerto madero, turning its surroundings betw een the café and reception hall into a large plaza. this access directs part of the bridge’s flow from the fragata sarmiento up into each

of the exhibition rooms, making it easily accessible for pedestrian traffic.
