——Compare Chinese and British education
As we know there are many differences between Chinese and Brithsh in culture.Especially in education for students.I’ve been thinking about a question after waching Are Our Kids Tough Enough? Chinese School,which is better? Next I just show you a simple introduction about the differences and my views.
First, the most intuitive feeling is the classroom discipline of both is different completely. In China,everyone seemed to be required to observe discipline from childhood, so most students obey classroom rules and respect teachers. But always British students too free to Chinese teacher have a good class. I think British students have a really bad attitude toward discipline.
Academically,Chinese education be called exam-oriented education, but there's no denying that Chinese students are smarter than British students at this education in a way. For example, in solving somecomplicated mathematics. I noticed a boy said, “he know that they have 12-honor days and they go home spend five hours on homework.” That’s valid, many senior three students like this. On the whole, I prefer British education to Chinese，academically, Because it have more free time to do our interest and not large academic burden. I think it may be more suited to develop students other abilities.
In addition, I think English teachers pay more attention to develop students' personalities, but Chinese teachers don’t like this. Like Josh said “I think Chinese education system, it seems like sort of an industrial process to me. I accept myself as who I am.” They can choose different PE class and cut cool hair and so on, but we can’t in many cases. Because of the school rules. We wouldn’t do many things nothing to do with learning, We do almost everything for learning, for the better university, for the better future. Why? Because most of us have greater life pressure now or later than English students.
Which is better? I choose Chinese education, I long for freedom of British education, but I believe in a Chinese saying “Knowledge changes fate.” At least I sure Chinese education is more suited for us now, because it can make us learn more at the same time.
