In China，the contradiction between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law exists from ancient times. In ancient times, mother-in-law is evil and daughter-in-law is miserable; in modern times, both are evil. So Chinese women often sigh: why women bother each other. This contradiction between mother-in-law and daughter-inlaw doesn’t exists in the united states. But the contradiction between the wife’s mother and son-in-law is already existed. • In the United States, the nuclear family is considered the “tradition” family. The family numbers are father, mother, children, and pets. It’s also named “simple” family.
In the Chinese family, parents are in a dominant position. So they love “shaping “children. They want their children according to their wishes to develop, rather than themselves. In addition, children must be obedient, otherwise they’re considered not filial piety. Respect is the basic requirement for human children.
In the united states, parents pay more attention to the freedom and equality. They attach importance to the child's personal autonomy. They are children's friends. And also, independence is the basic requirements of the parents for their children.

• In China, there are many members of a family. Because of a lot of intricate relation, it’s considered to be the complex big family.
夫妻关系
Both American and Chinese respect each other between husband and wife. They also give opposite side enough private space. American would like to enjoy life. They spend money in tripping or on other amusement. On the contrary, Chinese people like to put money in the bank. They hope the other person has the family sense of responsibility.
