2. System Architecture/系统结构
The ATC system is based on Alcatel’s SelTrac technology. The main subsystems of the ATC are shown in Figure 2 above.

2.1 System Management Centre (SMC) /系统管理中心(SMC)
The System Management Centre (SMC) is the overall management facility. It serves as the interface between the system and the Central Control Operators and provides the required ATS level automatic control and supervision functions. Its primary function is to provide information to the COs on the position and status of all tracked trains, and status of the field equipment within the ATC system.
系统管理中心(SMC)包括全系统的管理设备。它是系统和中央调度员的接口,提供ATS层的自动控制和监督功能。SMC首要的功能是向中央调度员提供所有跟踪列车的位置、状态、以及整个ATC系统范围内所有设备的状态信息。
The SMC CO command set includes:

2.2 Vehicle Control Centre (VCC) / 车辆控制中心(VCC)
The VCC subsystem is responsible for vitally ensuring safe automatic train separation and operation in the moving block environment. The VCC enforces a minimum safe separation between trains based on the safe braking distance from the last verified location of the rear of a preceding train or any other obstruction such as disturbed switches or closed tracks.
VCC子系统在移动闭塞环境中确保列车的安全间隔和运营。VCC确保列车间的最小安全间隔,该间隔是根据前车最后校核位置,或其他障碍物(如受干扰的道岔和封闭的轨道)的位置,确定的的安全制动距离。
In addition to monitoring the position of trains, the VCC shall also monitor the status of all switches by cyclically polling the station controllers for status. Switches in the vicinity of the train are reserved and positioned before the train is allowed to operate across them. Switch reservations prevent conflicts with other trains and with CO initiated reservation or switch movement requests. 除对列车位置的监视外,VCC还通过对车站控制器的周期性状态轮询监视所有道岔状态。列车附近的道岔被预留并确定位置后才允许列车通过。道岔预留防止其他列车的需求冲突,也防止和调度员发出的预留或转换道岔命令冲突。
The VCC is able to operate trains automatically, without drivers. This is done through two functions—train tracking and commanding movement authority. These functions are used together to provide ATO functions, or may be used only to monitor the movements of trains operated in manual mode. The VCC tracks trains by continuously polling for and receiving position information from the VOBC. The movement authority consists of the VCC continuously transmitting a safe stopping position (target point) to the VOBC.
无须驾驶员,VCC能自动控制列车运行,该方式通过两个功能-列车跟踪和移动授权来实现的。这些功能被用在一起提供ATO功能,或在人工模式下只监视列车运行。VCC通过连续的向VOBC轮询并接收列车位置信息来跟踪列车。VCC 不停的向VOBC发送安全停车位置(目标点)来实现移动授权。
