K-TEK PS45-0200-1 点级联动气动开关说明书
1.0 Description (3)2.0 Application (3)3.0 Operation (3)4.0 Mounting & Installation ..................................................................................................................................... (4)5.0 Warranty Statement (5)6.0 RMA Form (6)1.0 DescriptionThe K-TEK PS45 is a point level (on - off) pneumatic switch device used in conjunction with the K-TEK KM26 Mag-netic Liquid Level Gauge (MLG), LS Series Mechanical Cage Level switch or an External Chamber. The unique magnetic coupling action eliminates the need for such things as seals, diaphragms, springs or torque tubes. Since process connections to the switch are eliminated, the user is insured complete isolation from the process. Valves are not required to block off the switch from the process for maintenance or operational testing. Preventive mainte-nance functions are greatly reduced since the switch never contacts the process fluid.2.0 ApplicationThe PS45 is designed to provide a provide a pneumatic control signal dependent on the liquid level within a vessel. The device is configurable such that actuation can occur on rising and falling level. When a magnetic float passes in the first direction, the PS45 will route the input supply gas through to its output port. When the float passes in the opposite direction, the supply gas is shut off (disconnected) from the output port and the output port typically vented to the atmosphere. The PS45 thus provides the user with a pneumatic signal that can be used to activate alarms and/or open and close control valves. An example application would be the pneumatic operation of safety shutdown systems on oil and gas production equipment.3.0 OperationThe PS45 switch mechanism consists of the following integral components:1. Actuating cam-spindle-magnet assembly2. Precision Micropilot™ valve assembly3. User connections. As the magnetic float travels past the switch, the cam-spindle-magnet assembly actuates the Micropilot™ valve as-sembly. The switch will then provide for a path for the supply gas to travel between ports A-C or B-C, depending on the position of the float relative to the switch (see Figure 1). A continuous gas supply is not required for normal op-eration since the PS45 is not a pilot operated device. The PS45 is easily configured in the field as direct or reverseacting by simply changing the field connections at ports A & B. All user connections are 1/8 inch FNPT.4.0 Mounting & InstallationThe simplicity of mounting the PS45 switch housing is such that the only necessary tool is a small screwdriver. The switch is attached to the KM26 via two small stainless steel variable clamps. These clamps allow the switch to be positioned anywhere over the entire length of the float chamber, thereby providing an infinitely variable trip point set-ting. Loosening the clamps will allow the PS45 to be easily moved to provide a new trip point. Other switches can be added at any time without the concern for additional process piping or valves.PS45 Mounted on KM26 Magnetic Level GaugePS45 Mounted on LS Series Mechanical Level Switchdetermine how the option filter and vent fitting are supplied from the factory. The filter and vent fitting are easily changed in the field. We recommend Mobil DTE 13M or equivalent. Avoid mixing different types of fluid and NEVER use brake fluid, turbine oil, transmission fluid, motor oil or glycerin. Improper fluid can cause premature failure of the pump and the potential for sudden and immediate loss of load.Adding Hydraulic oil1. With ram fully retracted, unloaded position, disconnect hydraulic hose from application.2. With pump in its upright, horizontal position, remove oil filler screw located on top of the reservoir.3. Use a small funnel to fill reservoir to within 1/4” (6 mm) of the opening.4. Wipe up any spilled fluid and reinstall the oil filler screw.Changing oilFor best performance and longest life, replace the complete fluid supply at least once per year.1. Repeat # 2 above, then pour used fluid into a sealable container.2. Dispose of fluid in accordance with local regulations.3. Fill with a good quality hydraulic jack oil as recommended above. Reinstall oil filler screw.Note: Dispose of hydraulic fluid in accordance with local regulations.LubricationA periodic coating of light lubricating oil to pivot points and hinges will help to prevent rust and assure that pump assemblies move freely.CleaningPeriodically check the pump piston and ram for signs of rust or corrosion. Clean as needed and wipe with an oily cloth.Note: Never use sandpaper or abrasive material on these surfaces!OPERATIONSafety Message:Projectile Hazard! Ensure that workpiece is centerloaded and secure. Reduce risk of flying debris by carefully following all operating instruction. Know your press and the hazards associated with its use. Keep hands and feet from bed area at all times. Always centerload workpiece.1. Insert workpiece into bed frame, using every precaution necessary to ensure your safety and prevent property damage. Position workpiece in a manner which will not allow it to inadvertently fall from bed.2. Locate and close release valve by turning it clockwise firmly, until tight.3. Pump until ram nears workpiece.4. Align ram and workpiece to ensure centerloading.5. Apply load to workpiece by pumping handle. Do not overload workpiece.6. Remove load from workpiece by turning release valve counterclockwise. Stabilize workpiece in a manner which will not allow it to inadvertantly fall from the bed once the load is removed.7. Once ram has fully retracted, remove workpiece.Note: Never operate pump with release valve closed and disconnected from application. Prior to installation, the desired position setting should be made. Contact factory for continuous rotation.MRF Models1. Remove the protective cover from the switch body.2. Turn the shaft counterclockwise to the extreme left by using a screwdriver.3. Inside the cover is a magnifying lens which would be positioned over the number which is to be the maximum position used; when the cover is then snapped into the switch, the projection beside the lens fits into the correct hole for setting the stop.MRK & MRA Models1. Using the actuator knob, turn the shaft counterclockwise to the extreme left. If the shaft is not turned counterclockwise to the extreme left, proper setting can- not be achieved. At this extreme posi- tion, the white line on the knob points to the number 1 position shown on the side of the switch.2. Remove the knob from the shaft and loosen the nut far enough to allow rais- ing the stopper plate, plus washer(s), for resetting to the desired position.3. Note the position numbers on the side of the switch; these correspond to the terminal numbers and stopper holes. Insert the stopper in the hole numbered for the maximum desired number of stop settings. Satisfactory switch func- tioning cannot be assured if the stopper plate is not properly positioned.4. Tighten the nut (beveled side up) firmly against the stopper plate.Standard Mounting Hardware Packaged Loose with Each Switch:I n d i c a t o r s A c c e s s o r i e s S u p p l e m e n tT a c t i l e s K e y l o c k sP u s h b u t t o n sI l l u m i n a t e d P BS l i d e sP r o g r a m m a b l e R o c k e r sT o u c hT i l tT o g g l esTYPICAL SWITCH DIMENSIONSSingle Pole MRA112MRA • PC Terminals 1 Pole 2 Pole 4 PoleMRF • PC Terminals1 Pole2 Pole 4 PoleMRA112MRK112MRK devices are designed to be panel mounted. 瑞尔科“SS-1”胶带压力开关操作手册说明书
‘SS-1”PRESSURE SWITCHOPERATION MANUALOMP# 4201 – 9/97REFERENCE “4102” SPEC SHEET The Ruelco “SS-1” pneumatic pressure switch is a three-way block and bleed valve that is operated by pressure acting on a piston opposing an adjustable spring force. It functions as either a normally closed or normally open valve depending on through which of the two ports the instrument pressure is supplied. These ports are marked as “HI IN” or “LO IN” on the switch body. The output port, marked “OUT” on the switch body, is the same for either mode of operation. Pressure applied to the sense port will cause the valve to operate. When the instrument supply pressure is connected to the “HI IN” port, the switch operates as normally open valve and is called a high switch. If sense pressure acting on the piston is at normal levels, it is insufficient to overcome the spring force. The middle O-ring on the spool is positioned between the “LO IN” and the “OUT” port, thus preventing the instrument pressure from passing to the “LO IN” port of the switch body, but allowing it to pass from the “HI IN” port to the “OUT” port. When the pressure acting on the piston becomes large enough to overcome the spring force, The spool shifts and the center O-ring moves between the “HI IN” port and the “OUT” port. Instrument pressure at the “OUT” port and downstream “BLEEDS” to atmosphere thru the “LO IN” port while supply pressure at the “HI IN” port is “BLOCKED from entering the “OUT” port. The pressure switch “BLOCK AND BLEED” action is the same when the instrument pressure is connected to the “LO IN” port and the “HI IN” port is left unused. For this mode of operation, the switch acts as normally closed valve and is called a low switch. When normal sense pressure is acting on the piston, the center O-ring on the spool is between the “HI IN” port and the “OUT” port, thus preventing the instrument pressure from passing to the “HI PORT” of the switch body, but allowing it to flow from the “LO IN” port to the “OUT” port of the switch body. When the sense pressure decreases to an abnormal level, the spring force shifts the spool and the middle O-ring on the spool becomes positioned between the “LO IN” port and “OUT” port. Pressure at the “LO IN” port is “BLOCKED” from entering the “OUT” port and pressure at the “OUT” port “BLEEDS” to atmosphere from the “HI IN port.Changing the sense pressure value when the switch is used as either a high or low is done by altering the force of the spring, the size of the sense piston diameter or both. Changing the spring force is accomplished by turning the adjustment plug to increase or decrease the spring compression. The piston diameter is changed by adding or removing o-rings on the piston or changing the piston.2.0INSTALLATION3.For switches using ¼” diameterpiston, 1 ¼” open end wrench or asuitable crescent wrench. The “SS-1” can be panel mounted (withoptional panel mount nut) or supported bypiping from the sense port in either verticalor horizontal positions. If the switch is4.High quality silicone base lubricant.5.An appropriate safety solvent. mounted horizontally, it is recommendedthat the small vent holes in the side of the switch body be oriented in a downward position. This will prevent any debris from accumulating in the spring cavity or above the sense piston. 3.1PARTIAL DISASSEMBLYA)Spring Removal3.1.1)If the switch is installed in anoperating instrument system, it is notnecessary to remove any instrumentsupply or sense pressure. If the unitis a high switch, it will trip whenchanging the spring; if it is a lowswitch, then it will not. Soprecautions should be taken to avoidany unwanted reactions in theinstrumentation system.Proper pipe thread sealant should be used on any pipe fittings threaded into the pressure switch ports. If stainless steel fittings are used, a sealant that will prevent galling is required. The supply gas flowing through the switch body should be filtered and free of large particles. If compressed air is used, it does not have to be lubricated. If naturalgas is used as the instrument pressure, then it should contain as little condensate or crude oil as possible. This will extend the life of the seals. When the switch is mounted using the ½” NPT base connection and the instrument pressure ports are not in the desired position after the base connection is adequately tightened, DO NOT loosen the body from the base to re-position the ports. Instead, remove the switch and re-make the ½” NPT connection. 3.1.2)To obtain access to the spring (Item2), rotate the lock ring (Item 5)clockwise to loosen it from thespring cap (Item 1).3.1.3)Rotate the spring cap (Item 1)counterclockwise until it isdisengaged from the switch body(Item 3).3.1.4)Remove the spring from its cavity inthe switch body. If the parts tube(Item 4) is inside the spring, careshould be taken not to lose it.3.0 DISASSEMBLY (See Spec Sheet) Tools and materials required for properdisassembly, repair and assembly are as follows: 3.1.5)Follow the procedures in repair andassembly section of the manual to re-install the spring.1.7/8” and 1-5/16” open end wrenchesor two crescent wrenches ofadequate size.B)Piston Removal3.1.6)If the switch is panel mounted, it isnot necessary to remove it from thepanel. It will be necessary to 2.Small pliers.disconnect any piping or tubing fromthe base that would prevent the basefrom being removed. When theswitch is supported by the ½” NPTconnection on its base (Item 17),disconnect any piping or tubing fromthe switch body that would preventits removal from the switch base.CAUTION: Be sure that allinstrument or sense pressures arecompletely bled to zero beforedisconnecting any piping or tubing.3.1.7)Use the appropriate wrenches to holdand loosen the base from the switchbody. Unthread the base completelyfrom the switch body.3.1.8)Use the small pliers and grip theraised ridge on top of the piston(Item 15) and pull if from the switchbase (Item 17).3.1.9)If the ¼” diameter piston (Item 19) isinstalled and must be removed fromthe large piston, use the properwrench to hold the ¼” diameterpiston and grip the large piston withthe pliers at the small diameter abovethe groove for the .5” piston o-ring(Item 18). Rotate either onecounterclockwise to loosen andseparate the piston.3.1.10)Remove the installed spring from thepiston.3.1.11)Procedures for re-installing thepiston o-rings are in the repair andassembly procedure of this manual.3.2FULL DISASSEMBLYNOTE: Use the followinginstructions to completelydisassemble the pilot for repair andcleaning. CAUTION: Be sure thatall instrument or sense pressures arecompletely bled to zero beforedisconnecting any piping or tubing.3.2.1)Follow the procedures stated underpartial disassembly to remove thespring.3.2.2)Remove the spool (Item 9) from theswitch body. If it is necessary, usethe small pliers and grip the largeend of the spool.3.2.3)The seals on the shaft may now bereplaced as per instructions given inthe repair and assembly section ofthis manual.4.0 REPAIR AND ASSEMBLY(See product data sheet forreplacement part numbers).4.1)Remove the seals from the spool andpiston.4.2)Clean all parts using an appropriatesafety solvent.4.3)Inspect the spool for any majordamage such as burrs or nicks on itsoutside diameter. Also inspect it forstraightness. Replace the spool (Item9) if damaged.4.4)Examine the polished bores of theswitch body (Item 3) for gouges andrough surfaces. Be sure that allheavy dirt deposits have beenremoved. Replace any damagedpieces.4.5)Replacement seals from an authenticRUELCO REPAIR KIT isrecommended to ensure properswitch performance.4.12) Install the piston fully into the switchbase (Item 17) and grip the raised edge on the piston with the small pliers and move the piston back and forth in the base to verify that it moves freely. 4.6)Install new seals on the spool and lightly lubricate the seals and spool. CAUTION: Do not leave excessive lubricant on the spool Doing so may prevent the switch from operating.4.7) Verify the required switch range from the Range Selection Chart on the specification sheet 4102.4.13) Thread the switch base into theswitch body and firmly tighten using the appropriate wrenches.4.8)Install the required o-ring on the large piston. CAUTION: Do not install more than one o-ring on the large piston. If the ¼” diameter piston (Item 19) is to be used, there should be no o-rings installed on the large piston. If a seal is to be installed on the large piston, do not re-install the ¼” diameter piston on the large piston even if the o-rings have been removed. Place it in the parts tube (Item 4) for further use. 4.14) Install the lock ring into the switchbody and place the spring plate into the body cavity. NOTE: If the switch is panel mounted, install it into the pane land secure with a panel mounting ring prior to installing the lock ring (Item 5) and spring plate (Item 7).4.15) Install the spring into the switchbody. CAUTION: Verify that the spring is the proper color for the range required as shown on the Range Selection Chart on the specification Sheet 4.9)When replacing seals on the optional ¼” diameter piston, install the back-up (Item 20) in the piston groove first. Be sure that the angle cut ends of the back-up overlap to form a flat surface. Slide the back-up towards the large piston and install the o-ring (Item 21). CAUTION: If using the ¼” diameter piston, be sure that all seals on the large piston are removed. Failure to do so will prevent the switch from operating.4.16) Place the parts tube inside the springand thread the spring cap onto the switch body. Adjust the switch operation as per user requirements and methods.4.10) Lightly lubricate the piston seals andpiston. DO NOT over lubricate or the switch performance may be adversely affected.4.11) Install the spool completely into theswitch body.
