pscs6 configuration error

pscs6 configuration error

pscs6 configuration errorThere are several potential causes for a configuration error in Photoshop CS6. Here are a few possible solutions:1. Update Photoshop: Make sure you have the latest version of Photoshop CS6 installed. Adobe regularly releases updates that address bugs and compatibility issues.2. Reset Photoshop Preferences: Sometimes, corrupted preference files can cause configuration errors. To reset Photoshop preferences, hold down Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Windows) orShift+Option+Command (Mac) immediately after launching Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you want to delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file. Confirm this action, and Photoshop will launch with default preferences.3. Check system requirements: Confirm that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Photoshop CS6. If your hardware or operating system falls short, it can lead to configuration errors.4. Disable conflicting software: Some software programs, particularly antivirus or firewall applications, can interfere with Photoshop's functioning. Try temporarily disabling any security software and see if the configuration error persists.5. Reinstall Photoshop: If none of the above solutions work, try uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop CS6. This can help resolve any corrupted or missing files that may be causing the configuration error. If none of these solutions resolve the configuration error, you may need to contact Adobe Support or consult online forums for further assistance.。

Resources

After consulting a number of UK experts in inclusive design, we drew up a list of inclusive design ‘crucial resources’: websites, books, conferences and journals. They are listed here as key, general resources. This is by no means a complete list; however, it will offer you a straightforward route map for information about inclusive design.网站WebsitesDesignCouncil(/en/About-Design/Design-Techniques/Inclu sive-design)A charity dedicated to improving people’s lives through the use of design. Rendering via a networkcould cause stability issues. In particular, we observed problems withthe Mesa OpenGL package that is delivered with RHEL5 and works asa fall-back when no other driver is installed.Software Requirements Table 2-4Software Requirements • • • • • •Caution:It is possible that graphics do not display correctly when using older ATIgraphics cards and drivers. Thus, we recommend the use of Nvidiagraphics cards. We also recommend to install the latest graphicsdrivers available from Nvidia to avoid OpenGL graphic display errors. The driver version that comes with the OS in most cases is quite old oreven generic drivers are used if the graphics hardware is notrecognized correctly during the installation of the OS. These driversonly support basic functionalities and do not offer the OpenGL featuresrequired by PetroMod. Please be aware that most onboard graphicshardware does not support OpenGL at all. A dedicated graphics card isrequired for PetroMod.• • • • • •Note:Software applications created under older operating system versions willrun under newer operating system versions, but not vice puter CPU 2 x Intel X5667 (quad core) or X5675 (hexa core)Physical Memory48GB RAM Network Card1000 Mbit Nic Hard Disk Space 5 GB of free disk space Microsoft Vista 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7(recommended)64-bit RedHat EnterpriseLinux 5.3(recommended)64 bit Framework 2.0OverviewLicensing Licenses are required to access PetroMod.

Atmel AVR4029: Atmel Software FrameworkUser GuideFeatures• Getting Started• Access to ASF examples and applications• Add ASF modules to a project• Atmel® Studio 6• IAR™• GNU makefile / GCC1 IntroductionThe Atmel software framework (ASF, /asf) provides software drivers and libraries to build applications for Atmel megaAVR®, AVR XMEGA®, AVR UC3and SAM devices. It has been designed to help develop and glue together the different components of a software design. It can easily integrate into an operating system (OS) or run as a stand-alone product. In this application note developers can read about how to get started with Atmel Studio 6, IAR and GNU GCC makefile:•How to install the ASF•How to start ASF reference applications•How to get ASF documentationIt is recommended but not required to read the ASF reference manual for advanced knowledge on the ASF architecture to read this getting started document. Atmel Microcontrollers Application NoteRev. 8431C-AVR-03/20132 ASF OverviewThe following is a basic overview of the ASF. For more details, consider reading theASF Reference manual.2.1 ASF LayersThe ASF is basically organized in layers for each Atmel family of devices (see figurein Introduction).2.2 ASF ItemsThere are mainly three kinds of items in the ASF:•ASF Module: a software entity that does not have an int main(void) function(e.g. a USART software driver, a USB stack). ASF modules are provided bythe Drivers, Components and Services layers. An ASF module may bestatically and/or dynamically configurable.•ASF Application (aka ASF Example): a software entity in the ASF that can bebuilt into an executable. This can be: a demo application, or an example ofusage of an ASF module. ASF applications are provided by the Drivers,Components, Services and Applications layers. An ASF application used asan example of usage of one ASF module is called an ASF Example. An ASFapplication may be statically configurable.•ASF Board: abstraction layer for each Atmel kit supported in the ASF. Usuallyassociated with one device. The “special” board named “User board” is anempty board abstraction layer used to create a user-specific/custom board.2.3 ASF PortsThere are four ports of the ASF, one for each Atmel family of devices: megaAVR,AVR XMEGA, AVR UC3 and SAM.The common top folder gathers modules and applications shared amongst severalarchitectures: in some cases the implementations are shared while for some modulesonly the API is common. For the latter, the common folder thus also contains ports foreach Atmel family of devices. The thirdparty top folder contains modules and applications with licenses other thanthe Atmel ASF license. As for the common folder, thirdparty is not dedicated to onefamily but contains instead ports to for each Atmel family of devices.2.4 ASF Directory StructureThere is a top level folder for each Atmel family of devices as well as the commonand thirdparty folders. The organization beneath each of these folders is following the ASF layers split(applications, services, components, drivers, boards).Note that the folder of an ASF module always contains at least an example of usagewhich is an ASF item of type ASF application.2.5 ASF Releases FormatsEach ASF release is fully documented and available online at .2 Atmel AVR40298431C-AVR-03/2013AtmelAVR4029Each ASF version is released in two ways:•As an extension to Atmel Studio 6,•Stand-alone zip package of the whole ASF directory tree with, for each ASFapplication, a make project and an IAR project.Note that Atmel Studio 6 has dedicated menus and actions for the ASF (which arepresented later in the document).3 8431C-AVR-03/20134 Atmel AVR40298431C-AVR-03/2013 3 Getting started with ASF and Atmel Studio 6Atmel Studio 6 is the integrated development environment (IDE) for developing and debugging Atmel ARM ® Cortex™-M and Atmel AVR ® microcontroller (MCU) based applications.Content and features of Atmel Studio 6:• Solutions and projects creation,• a powerful editor with visual assist and plug-ins support to enhance the IDE, • a GNU C/C++ Compiler for generating target executables,• the ASF and ASF-oriented wizards,• Programming & Debugging mode supporting all Atmel debuggers, programmers and the AVR simulator. In debugging mode, the IDE presents MCU status in nicely formatted views, giving fast access to critical system parameters.• Atmel Gallery3.1 Installation - Requirements3.1.1 Software Tools1. The purpose of this section is toguide the user on how to use the ASF in Atmel Studio along a typical developmentflow. We will first identify a list of development scenarios then we’ll see how each can bedone using the ASF in Atmel Studio.4.1 Development Types: OverviewThere are mostly, if not only, two main kind of development with the ASF:•on an Atmel board,•on a custom board (aka user board).4.1.1 Development on an Atmel BoardThere are mainly four scenarios:•Run (and eventually modify) an existing ASF Example on an AtmelReferenced Board•Develop a New ASF-based Application on an Atmel Referenced Board•Using the ASF, port a non-ASF existing application on an Atmel ReferencedBoard•Develop a non-ASF-based Application on an Atmel Referenced Board: out ofscope.4.1.2 Development on a Custom Board (aka User Board)We will consider only the most relevant scenario: develop a Custom Application on aCustom Board. There are mainly three approaches to do that:•Modify an existing ASF example that is the closest to the target application, port it to the custom board, then modify the application as needed•Develop a New ASF-based Application to a Custom Board•Using the ASF, port a non-ASF existing application to a Custom Board•Develop a non-ASF-based Application on a custom board: this is out of thissection’s scope4.1.3 Release on the Atmel GallerySince the introduction of the Atmel Gallery and the Atmel Studio ExtensionDeveloper’s Kit (XDK), it is now possible to release any development to the AtmelGallery. Refer to the XDK User Guide.135 Getting started with ASF and IAR Embedded Workbench5.1 Install1. Download IAR Embedded Workbench® on .2. Install IAR.3. SIMDRIVE 3D comes with its own bundled Java installation and thus does not depend on a Java installation being present on the system. The bundled Java will not be known to the system in general and will not conflict with existing Java installations or automaticSentinelHASPupdates etc.License ManagementCONTECS uses the SafeNet Software Licensing Security SentinelHASP for license management. HASP isslowly replacing the Safenet Hardlock system. Both license management systems offer to run SIMDRIVE3D in stand-alone mode (for single users or mobile computers) or as a server-client combination.SentinelHASPSafenet HardlockThe Hardware License Key (Dongle) can be connected directly to a stand alone PC or applied via a server(network). It recognizes licenses and drivers by itself.Installer Files and TypesTo get the installer executable file go to http://download.contecs-engineering.de/browser/index.jsp anddownload the appropriate installer for your system.Because the installation process and operation mode differs between the two licensing systems theSIMDRIVE 3D installer may come in different types. Those also reflect the system architecture (either 32 or64 bit) and the operating system (either Windows or Linux) on which you are installing SIMDRIVE 3D. Inthis way you might be provided with several different installers.Your version of SIMDRIVE 3D will use either the HASP (red dongle) or the old Hardlock (blue dongle)system. Please refer to the corresponding section below when installing SIMDRIVE 3D.Installation: HASPThe new Sentinel/HASP license management is the default and is used for mostinstallations of SIMDRIVE 3D. It uses a red USB dongle.Do not plug in the HASP dongle key before installing the HASP drivers. (A HASP key may be presentwhen only updating SIMDRIVE 3D.)SafenetHardlock To create a HASP license server on a computer simply install the Sentinel/HASP runtime available from your CONTECS server directory. All licenses from that dongle should then be available in the localnetwork.Port 1947 must be available and open for the HASP License server to communicate with clients.Installation: HardlockThe old Hardlock system is still in place for some customers. It uses a blue USBdongle.Do not plug in the Hardlock dongle key before installing the Hardlock drivers. (A Hardlock key may bepresent when only updating SIMDRIVE 3D.)WindowsSoftware and driver installationExecute the installer you just downloaded. There are four installation options available in the installer:ApplicationSelect this option to install the SIMDRIVE 3D application on a computer with network access to aLicense Server.SingleSelect this option to install a standalone SIMDRIVE 3D version with its own local Hardlock (On64-bit systems this is a combination of Application and License Manager ).License ManagerSelect this option to install the SIMDRIVE 3D License management application on this computer.UpdateSelect this option to update an existing SIMDRIVE 3D to the most recent version. This will not installany drivers or shortcuts, it will merely copy the new SIMDRIVE 3D application files to the locationof a previous installation. The installer will guide you through the process. After installation has finished the installer may ask to setup the Hardlock drivers. Follow the driver installation instructions to complete the installation.debugging.The Hardlock License Manager uses port 4567 to access its service. Make sure that firewalls and similar software aren't blocking port 4567.F.A.Q.Q: I am using a hardlocked version of SIMDRIVE 3D and the application starts with error "LI-1" or "LI7Hardlock" ("Usage of License Server required", "Wrong Hardlock"). How can I access the network license?A: You might be trying to start a network-hardlocked SIMDRIVE 3D on a system that previously used a HASP version. There are two methods to regain access to the networked Hardlock license: Remove the line ">#Oberflaeche Lizenz-Server-IP<[STRING] " from your SIMDRIVE 3Dconfig.prf file, which is located in your home directory in a folder called Simdrive3D.(Alternatively you can also type your License Server IP there.)Edit the Simdrive.bat startup command to include host:[IP-Address of License Server] V on …http://192.168.0.169/wiki/index.php?title=Installation_Guide&oldid=9613“Version vom 30.

6th ERCIM Workshop "User Interfaces for All" Short Paper An Evaluation of a Graphical History Tool with an Eye TrackerHisanori MASUDA, Atsumi IMAMIYA, Kentaro GO, Xiaoyang MAODepartment of Computer Science and Media EngineeringYamanashi University4-3-11 Takeda, Kofu, Yamanashi, Japan 400-8511E-mail: {hisa,imamiya,go,mao}@metatron.esi.yamanashi.ac.jpAbstract. In this paper we describe a graphical undo/redo tool, which visualizes user’s command history and evaluate it using a survey technique and empirically assess with respect to eye movements. Our tool is implemented as part of a drawing tool, what and how users look at are the essential information on evaluating its effectiveness. Therefore, we investigate user’s gaze information during a visual searching task. The task is to search a target snapshot through looking at a window and manipulating its scroll bar. We have presented the first results of empirical evaluation’s data. The results of primary evaluation show that the tool for visual search has been positive.1. INTRODUCTIONComputer users make mistakes. This is common knowledge for all the HCI researchers and practitioners. Thus, most computer applications provide undo/redo function for their users. A typical Windows application, for example, has the undo/redo item under the edit item on the main menu bar. Including this Windows example conventional undo/redo functions are script-based. They require many commands (i.e., a series of undo/redo menu selections) to set the right state its user wants. We assume that users could get to the previous right state if they would have a graphical command history as a function of a system such as a drawing tool. To be precise, if user’s command history is visible and listed as selection items, then the user could select the previous right state directly. We have already proposed the double selective Undo model [Zhou 97] and presented a graphical command history tool [Meng 98]. The model and the tool are implemented by using Amulet system [Myers 97] together with a simple drawing editor. However, its evaluation was not yet conducted. In this paper we illustrate the graphical command history tool and evaluate it using a survey technique. Since it is implemented as part of a drawing tool, what and how users watch are the essential information on evaluating its effectiveness. Therefore, we investigate user’s gaze information during a visual searching task. The rest of paper is organized as follows. We first review Undo/Redo models, then present the features of graphical history tool and evaluation of the tool by conducting controlled experiments. 2. UNDO MODELS AND A GRAPHICAL HISTORY TOOLUndo models can be divided into two broad categories. One is Linear Undo, the other None Linear Undo. Most of the Undo mechanisms employed in today’s graphical user interface systems are based on Linear Undo model. Recently, the Direct Selective Undo/Redo model was proposed [Berlage 94], and it allows the user to undo the command selectively from the history list.We have proposed a graphical history tool [Meng 98](See Figure 1). The history visualization and grouping functions are implemented on Amulet system [Myers 97], developed by Carnegie Mellon University. The source codes are written in Microsoft VisualCNR-IROE, Florence, Italy 25-26 October 2000Figure 1. A Dialog box for the Selective Undo/ReuseC++ on Windows NT.There are two main features on the graphical history tool.[1] Graphical history window: Considering that every change of the graphical editor window resembles an instance within a single continuum of visual history, we developed a visualized history view to this mechanism, listing “history snapshots” –the results to each command– to be presented as the command. Commands can be searched either from the command browser with scroll bar or from the snapshot window with time scroll bar). The graphical histories use a comic strip metaphor to depict graphical states changing over time. The two parts synchronize in changes so that the snapshot is always the execution result of the command at the top of the command list.[2] Grouping commands: In graphical editing systems, we assume that a user usually decides what to do and remembers what had done from the state and attributes of graphical objects created and operated before. Therefore, when a user tries to perform an undo operation, he/she must have focused on the some particular object. Thus, presenting only the partial command history related with the object should be sufficient for the user to search and undo a command. This is the basic idea behind our history grouping facility. The user can browse and interact with the partial history of the selected object through the related commands that are selected by the search mechanism. We also provide a mechanism based on the grouping of reusing objects and command to create a sophisticated scene.3. EXPERIMENTSTo evaluate the tool we proposed, we design two experiments. On Experiment 1, we investigate user’s general satisfaction on the tool through a survey. On Experiment 2, we analyze user’s gaze information during a visual searching task, which models a typical task on the tool.3.1. Experiment 1We conducted a usability test to evaluate the visualization technique of use history proposed in this paper and administered a questionnaire to get subjective information on the participants satisfaction.3.1.1. Interface SetupWe administered and compared three types of undo/redo interfaces:(1) The combination of Command List and Snapshot (C&S-type),Figure 2. The results of questionnaire 1 (left), and questionnaire 2 (right)(2) Snapshot only (S-type), and(3) Command List only (C-type).Before working on experimental tasks, participants practiced the graphical history tool use, including how to select an object, draw, and undo it.3.1.2. Participants and TasksSix male college students (three undergraduates and three graduates) of our University Computer Science and Media Engineering participated in this experiment. They do not have any experience on our Undo/Redo system but are familiar with conventional Computer Graphics tools. Each participant worked on three types of tasks after becoming used to our Undo/Redo system.A collaborative painting task by a participant and an instructor was adopted for this study. A participant paints pictures receiving instruction from him. During the drawing session, the instructor gives instructions, which require Undo/Redo operations, to the participant. To be precise, the task was conducted as follows.(1) Participant paints pictures.(2) Participant and i nstructor discuss the colors on pictures, and then she/he changes the color of designated graphical object.3.1.3. Survey and ResultsWe administered a questionnaire for debriefing surveys (Table1). It consists of two parts. Part One of questions contains questions on the user acceptance of each interface type; participants were asked to rate the questions on 0-to-6 scales. Part Two of questions is for comparing usability items of the interface types; participants ware asked to choose the best interface type out of the three on each item. The results are shown in Figure 2. We found that accumulative frequency of C type is much less than that of C&S and S. However, there is not difference significantly between C&S and S type. We may need more experiments to evaluate difference between two C&S and S types.3.2. Experiment 23.2.1. Experimental designWe then focused on snapshot and scroll bar. The aim of this experiment is to investigate user’s eye movements when they are searching specific objects on the screen with the scroll bar in the history tool of a dialog box.In order to attain this goal, we measured user’s eye movements with an eye tracking equipment. We administered a prototype consisted of a snapshot and a scroll bar, it was written in Microsoft Visual Basic on Windows NT.3.2.2. Participants and EquipmentThree students (two graduates and one undergraduate) of Computer Science and Media Engineering Department participated in the experiment. They all used to use Microsoft Windows 98 or NT, and are familiar with the scroll bar in the history tool in our experiment. To get reliable eye tracking data, all subjects ware chosen so that they did not need eyeglasses or contact lenses. The computer used in our experiment was a PC (IBM AT compatible PC), which consists of Pentium III 450MHz CPU and 128 Mb of memory. We used an 18-inch crystal liquid display and a tripod to fix the head position and viewing distance of a participant. The eye tracker used was a head mounted equipment NAC EMR-8 model SP-505. This device illuminates infrared light through a mirror based on the principle of pupil and a corneal reflection. Gaze location and image pairs ware superimposed on videotapes every 1/60 second.3.2.3. TaskThe task is to search the target snapshot looking at a window and operating scroll bar of the dialog box. A target snapshot consists of three circle objects with white or black colors (See Figure 3). The total number of target shots is eight. The size of each circle is 1.97 inches (5 centimeter) in diameter. The viewing distance is 17.5 inch. Participants need to move their eyes to search target objects under these conditions because the fovea of the eye is a small region with fine details (about 1 deg. of view angle)[Ware 87, Jacob 91].Experimenter first gives an instruction (e.g., he says “right black, start”) then a participant begins to search the target shot manipulating the scroll bar as quickly as possible. When the participant finds the target shot, he/she presses a button with their left hand to input the cue information. The cue information is recorded on tapes through an eye tracking equipment. A target shot and an order of eight snapshots are random. The experiment consists of 64 trials per participant. Each participant takes several rests during the experiment. Before restarting the experiment, we calibrate the eye tracker.3.2.4. Analysis and ResultsThe initial analysis was made with NAC analysis software tool. Eye tracking data contain noisy data are excluded from the analysis. We have filtered noise data from eye track data. We also set up the temporal filter-determining fixation in filtering the noise in the data and analyzing values of the threshold of 120ms because the duration of a fixation is typically 120-600ms[Aaltonen 98]. We observed videotape images and investigated fixation data.Figure 3 shows a typical pattern of search saccades with a target shot. Small circles (not at target circles) represent fixations, where the size of them shows duration of fixation. An observation was that user first looked at a region low right of a shot, then move around the center of a shot, and the eye remains there for a while. The overall average duration time of fixation is 387 ms, and the average number of fixations is 2.2 times. The average selection time per trial is 1.04 sec. We calculate a ratio of the duration time of fixation for the selection time:387(ms /times)* 2.2 (times/trial) =851.4(ms/trial) and851.4(ms/trial) / 1004(ms/trial) ≈ 0.848.We found that user looked at the same point almost of time during the trial in Figure 3 and the ratio of the duration time calculated above. The ratio of duration 0.84 shows that the history tool with a snapshot and a scroll bar provides a function of fixing user’s eye at the same position on the screen. Figure 4 shows target selection time by target locations. An observation is that the target selection time is a function of the location except the first. The phenomenon can be seen previous menu selection study too [Byrne 99].An observation that has been made in previous study [Velichkovsky 97] is that there are the relationship duration of fixation and 5 levels of human information processing. First level (fixation time is less than 100ms) is “saccades”, second level (120-250ms) is categorized in Figurative processing, and third level (250-450ms) is categorized in Semantic processing. Our results of fixation time are categorized at the third level; in other words, the result s hows that the task is semantic processing level. Table 1. SUMMARY AND FUTURE WORKWe present the object-based tool of visualizing and searching the history of graphical editing systems, and an empirical evaluation of the interface tool for a selective undo mechanism. The experiments produced a huge amount of data, and here we have only presented the first results. Our interesting questions require further experiments. These include the following:(1) Comparing the effectiveness of thumbnail representation of graphical history with the snapshotdescribed in this paper.(2) Investigating the relationship in detail between mouse movements and eye movements undergraphical history tool environment.ACKNOWLEDGEMENTSThis research was supported in part by the Telecommunication Advancement Organization of Japan.
