本课的设计主要是培养学生的语言能力、学习能力和思维品质。

【内容要求】借助图片、实物理解词汇的意思;在语境中理解现在进行时的形式、意义、用法;能借助图片读懂简单的小故事,理解基本信息。

本课时是本单元的第1课时,是故事阅读课。

本节课主要围绕Tony,Jenny,Gogo在家询问家人正在做什么展开的对话。

由于学生在本册教材第2单元School Activities中已经初步接触了动词原形及现在分词,并且对现在进行时这一语法含义有了基本的认知,因此本单元在主题和知识点方面起着承接四上第2单元的作用。

同时,学生将会在本课教材的第8单元继续学习现在进行时的一般疑问句,因此本单元在知识点上起着“启下”的作用。

3、学情分析本课内容以小学四年级学生为教学对象,他们活泼好动,善于模仿,喜爱表演,对学习英语有着浓厚的兴趣。

经过一年多的英语学习,四年级学生已经具备了一定的听说读写能力,另外学生在本册unit2School Activities中已经学会了语法知识---现在进行时的含义,因而在正在做的事情的描述表达已经具备了一定的基础,但学生容易分辨不清现在进行时的一般疑问句和特殊疑问句。
