Paris Fashion Week is part of the global "Big 4" fashion weeks, the others being London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week.
Activity Normally, about a 300 shows in total span the city, ranging from the top fashion houses to lesser-known names.
The shows can be divided into three categories: Men's Fashion, Haute Couture, and Prêt-à-Porter.
Activity
The term haute means top class,couture means the craft of making clothes.so the word can be translated as“高级定制服”。
These haute couture collections are shown at a different time to the prêt-à-porter (meaning ready-to-wear) collections which is what most modern fashion houses exhibit during Paris Fashion Week.
These runway shows are held to show the fashion industry what the various labels will be releasing and to increase sales for the brands.

It is held biannually each year. Spring/summer events: Febrary or March Autumn/winter events: September or October
Venue
The big boys - Chanel, Christian Dior, Givenchy - exhibit their collections in iconic Parisian locations such as the Grand Palais（大皇 宫） or the Espace Eiffel while the smaller fish are left with less highprofile, but often cooler, locations such as nightclubs and warehouses.

Paris Fashion Week, has the objective to show the fashion industry what's in in the season and what is definitely out.
The specific dates are determined by the French Fashion Federation(法国时装协会).
Venue
Current Fashion Week is held in the Carrousel du Louvre （卢浮宫卡鲁塞勒大厅）, Jardindes Tu ileries(杜乐丽花园)，as well as at various other venues（举办地点） throughout the city.
