If a snake bites you, take a photo with your mobile phone! It may save your life. This is the surprising advice of a British cook.
One day Henry Jackson was working in a restaurant kitchen. He picked up a dish from the table, and suddenly a snake appeared... and bit him on the hand.
A few days earlier, the snake came to the restaurant from Asia in a box of bananas. It climbed out of the box and hid under the dish.
"I went to try to pick it up and it bit me again. I threw it across the kitchen, and it landed in the fridge. So I closed the door," Mr. Jackson said.
Anyway, Mr Jackson stayed cool and he took a photo of the snake with his mobile phone. Soon his hand began to ache and he went to hospital. Then his chest began to hurt. Doctors couldn't say what was wrong because they didn't know the kind of the snake.
Then Mr Jackson remembered his mobile phone photo. The doctors sent it to London Zoo. When they knew what kind of snake it was. They could give Mr. Jackson the right medicine, and he left hospital the next day.

To chat with friends on QQ, a QQ number is necessary; to send an E-mail, an E-mail address is needed---It seems that most websites now require a user name用户名and a password when we visit them. We enjoy online activities in our own accounts (账号,账户)and we use passwords (密码)to keep our personal information secret and safe. However, some passwords we use may not be as safe as we think.
The main reason is that people use very common passwords. SplashData, a computer company, recently made a list of the 25 worst passwords of 2011. According to the list, the word ―password‖ is the worst and most common password. Many others on the list are numbers in order(按照顺序)(for example, 1234 or 4321), l etters on the keyboard in order, such as ―qwerty‖ are also common, as well as some first names and animals.
―Hackers(黑客)can easily break into many accounts because they keep on trying common passwords again and again,‖ said Morgan Slain, CEO of SplashData.
How can you make a strong password? It should be more than seven characters, with a mix of letters, numbers and symbols. One way to set a long and easy-to remember password is to use spaces(空格)or numbers between short words.
Having safe passwords is necessary for surfing the Internet safely. But it’s not the only thing you must do to keep safe online. Here are some other tips:
·Never give out information that will allow someone to find you offline(下线). That includes your full name, address and phone number.

The widespread number of food scandals ( 丑闻) in China is making many people pause(暂停) before they put their chopsticks in their mouth. They are wondering if the food they are eating is clean, healthy and nutritious or does it contain something harmful that will cause disease?
Most of the food we eat today is processed food( 加工食品). That means the foods we buy in stores and supermarkets, especially packaged foods, are prepared in factories. Chemicals are added to the foods in these factories to make them look better, taste better and last longer on the shelf. The chemicals are supposed to be harmless and there are laws that regulate which chemicals can and cannot be used. Unfortunately, some producers do not obey the laws.
A producer of steamed buns (馒头) in Zhejiang Province was recently discovered to be breaking the law. He was adding yellow dye and other banned chemicals to the buns. He was also taking old buns and using them to make new buns. Most of the buns were sold to schools and eaten by students. . . like you!
Why did he do it? Why did he break the law and endanger people's health? The answer is simple: he wanted to make more money. It was a moral failing, and this is at the heart of the food scandals in China. Too many people focus on making money and not on the effects their actions can have on others.
