1 OVERVIEW
Rotating machine supervisory instrumentation is the important device for measuring and protecting. 8000B series supervisory instruments are the latest highly digital intelligent and wholely modularized combinatorial instruments.
8000B system adopts advanced embedded microprocessor and large-scale digital and analog IC. It has the function of data collection, database managing, field configuring, graph displaying, report printing, networking communication and so on. It’s the updating product of traditional instrument.
2 FEATURES
●Modularized extendible structure. Can configure system in different function according to different requirement.
●Field monitoring by digital displaying at machine site; remote monitoring by data communiction with computer.
●Each module is managed by microprocessor. Single and dual data collection can be setted by collection mode.
●The system has RS485 RS232 and palmtop communication interface. Connect with DCS or remote computer by
RS485, connect with laptop by RS232 at site. The palmtop our company supplied can be connected with 8000B by the specified interface. The end user can select suitable commnication way according to condition at site.
●Adopt MODBUS-RUT communication protocol to communicate with DCS or other automatic computer system. ●It can be configured at site according to the requirement of end user by the configuration software our company
supplied. The parameters could be setted include running/inhibiting, channel No., Alarm setting value, Alarm output delay time, Alarm output logic, linearization adjustment, full scale adjustment and so on. (Some parameters were setted in our factory, and can’t be changed by end user. If want to change it, please contact with us.)
●The data collection software and managing software can display all monitoring picture (Measuring point, trend,
alarm state, history data and so on.), process analyze and print all kinds of report.
●8000B series instruments have perfect functions of displaying, alarm and operation. It can run without computer
after configuration.

8000B/000 Instrument Rack
8000B Rack accommodates Power supply unit which is installed on the left and takes double space of monitor module. The motherboard is installed in the rack through which can connect every monitor module. Each monitor module can be installed in any place of rack except the space for power supply unit. The designing of the rack is easy for installing debugging and maintaining.
The total number of monitor module is selectable according to the number of measuring points.

8000B/001 Power Supply Module
8000B system power supply unit supplies power to all monitor module accommodated in the same rack. The unit locates in
the left of the rack which takes double space of monitor module.
The fault in the power supply is indicated by lighting of corresponding LED on the panel of the power supply unit.

8000B/012 Dual Seismic Monitor Module
This is a highly reliable dual seismic monitor, which can monitor the amplitude and intensity value of the bearing vibration of rotating machinery continuously by SZ-6 velocity transducer. A constant current proportional to the vibration value is output from the terminal block. It can connect to DCS PLC system or other instrument. The monitor is also possible to set ALERT and DANGER alarm levels independently to detect machine failures early on and inform the operator of these failures. There is a communication interface to connect to computer or palmtop to configure collect data and so on, so it’s easily to analyze vibration and supply fault prediction in advance.
1 FUNCTION
1.Display two channels of measuring value of amplitude or intensity at the sam e time. Can set ―enable/inhibit‖ of each channel.;
2.Max. and Min measuring value can be saved as well as the alarm state in the history even after power off. 3.All parameters can be setted by PC or palmtop computer (channel enable/inhibit; alarm set value; alarm delay; alarm

3 DESCRIPTION OF FRONT PANEL
Nixie lights
Nixie lights displaies two channels of measuring value of amplitude or intensity when in measuring mode.
When in configuration mode , Nixie lights displaies ―….P‖, the operatior can

RESET KEY
When reset mode is manual mode, press this key to reset alarms after the measured value return to nomal value. When the instrument is in configuration mode, press this key to save modified parameters and return to measuring mode.
4 DEBUGGING AND OPERATION
1.Refer to 8000B system configuration software introduction manual or palmtop computer configuration software introduction manual to modify the parameters of the instrument.
2.It’s necessary to verify the system combined with function module and transducer on the standard vibration shaker. It was verified before shipping from the factory. So the end user can use it directly. If there is something wrong, please contact with our company.
3.Verification of Alarm operation
Change the value of input signal or the amplitude and intensity value of vibration exciter (rms), when the value excceds the alarm set value, the corresponding alarm is output, and the corresponding LED is lighted on and contact is output 4.Clear the state of alarm and peak value
When the reset mode is manual mode and measured value is less than alarm set value, press the reset key to clear the state of alarm, at that time, the corresponding LED and relay contact are off. The peak value saved in history should be cleared by software.
When the reset mode is auto-reset mode and measured value is less than alarm set value, clear the state of alarm automatically, and the corresponding LED and relay contact are off. The peak value saved in history should be cleared by software.
5 INSTALLATION AND INTERCONNECTION
1.Transducer
1.1 Installation Location: Install the transducer at the measured point vertically or flatly, fixed by a M10×1.5×10 mounting stud.
1.2 Installation convertion: If the installed location is near by hyperthermal steam, the transducer should be protected by safeguard procedures.

6 MATTERS NEED ATTENTION
1.Please provide the rotating speed and the direction of detecting vibration when place the order.
2.The signal wire should be twisted-pair shielded cable. Interconnect cable according to the figure above. The shield layer should connect to ground only at the control room side. Verify it before power on.
3.The output signal of transducer should be isolated from ground and the case of transducer.
4.If the capacity of control circuit exceeds the capacity of relay contact, mid-relay should be used.
7 TROUBLE SHOOTING
1、Unstable display: Open circuit of transducer output signal or connect to ground can cause this. Check the connector of transducer.
2、Unchangeable display: Damaged transducer or signal short circuit can cause it.

8000B/022 Dual Vibration Monitor Module
This is a highly reliable dual vibration monitor, which can monitor the vibration of rotating machinery supported by plain bearings continuously. A constant current proportional to the vibration value is output from the terminal block. It can connect to DCS PLC system or other instrument. The monitor is also possible to set ALERT and DANGER alarm levels independently to detect machine failures early on and inform the operator of these failures. There is a communication interface to connect to computer or palmtop to configure collect data and so on, so it’s easily to analyze vibration and supply fault prediction in advance.

3 DESCRIPTION OF FRONT PANEL

When in configuration mode, Nixie lights displaies ―….P‖, the operatior can configure or modify parameters through the software of PC or palmtop computer When a channel is inhibited or there is no transducer input/open circuit, the corresponding nixie light displaies ―-----‖

4 INSTALLATIONS AND INTERCONNECTION
1、Installation of Sensor
1.1Detection Position
Eddy-current sensor can influence the space as large as three
Times of the diameter of the sensor, so please ensure there is
no other metal exist. Confirm that the diameter of the shaft should
be lager than 80m m, otherwise it’ll lower accuracy of measurement.
The bracket to install sensor could be designed by the end user
themselves. It should be rigid enough to avoid the distortion of the
bracket, and the sensor should be mounted tightly.
1.2The Gap Between Sensor and Measured Surface
Make sure the setted gap is the middle of the linear range of the eddy-current transducer according to the characteristic table of the transducer. The gap of the middle of linear range of 8mm transducer is about 1.8mm (output voltage is approx. -
10VDC) then fix the locknut.
1.3Installation of Ext. Cable
The length of Ext. cable can’t be changed, otherwise it will cause serious fault. Install the lagging of the cable and fix the cable after installation of sensor.
1.4Installation of Driver
The driver is a signal processing part of the transducer system. Keep it away from high temperature and amyctic atmosphere, install it in a less vibrant and ventilated position. Make sure the case of driver can’t connect to ground. The cable for interconnection should be 3-core shield cable. The end user can buy driver housing from our company in order to protect driver from mechanical damage.

6 MATTERS NEED ATTENTION
1.Please provide the monitor range and Alarm set value when place the order.
2.The interconnection cable from transducer to instrument should be 3-core shield cable and the current output cable
capability.
4.The bracket the sensor mounted should be rigid enough to avoid vibration and being damaged when operates. In order to avoid being broke off make sure not contort the cable connected to sensor by force.
5.If the capacity of control circuit exceeds the capacity of relay contact, mid-relay should be used
7 TROUBLE SHOOTING
1.If the monitor displaies ―….‖, it means the transducer is in nonlinear range or the damage of transducer. 2.Unstable display: The case of transducer or connector of extended cable and the ―Com‖ of singal wire connect to the ground. Check it and make it be isolated. The lack of stiffness of bracket or infirm installation of sensor can also cause this.
3.Unchangeable display: Damaged transducer or signal short circuit can cause it.

8000B/032/042 Dual Thrust/Differential Expansion Monitor Module
This is a highly reliable dual thrust/differential expansion monitor, which can monitor the shaft position/differential expansion of rotating machinery continuously. The monitor accepts signal detected by eddy-current type no-contacting transducer. A constant current proportional to the measurement value is output from the terminal block. It can connect to recorder or other instrument. The monitor is also possible to set ALERT and DANGER alarm levels independently to detect machine failures early on and inform the operator of these failures. There is a communication interface to connect to computer or palmtop to configure collect data and so on, so it’s easily to analyze vibration and supply fault prediction in advance.

The length of Ext. cable can’t be changed, otherwise it will cause serious fault. Install the lagging of the cable and fix the cable after installation of sensor.
1.4nstallation of Driver
The driver is a signal processing part of the transducer system. Keep it away from high temperature and amyctic atmosphere, install it in a less vibrant and ventilated position. Make sure the case of driver can’t connect to ground. The cable for
interconnection should be 3-core shield cable. The end user can buy driver housing from our company in order
to protect driver from mechanical damage

2.All parameters of the system is verified before shipping from the factory. In order to ensure the accuracy confirm the zero position and zero indication..
3.Verification of Alarm operation
Connect the transducer to monitor adjust the distance between sensor and target slowly let the measured value exceed the set value, alarm outputs, the corresponding LED is lighted on and realy normal open contact closes. 4.Clear the state of alarm and peak value
When the reset mode is manual mode and measured value is less than alarm set value, press the reset key to clear the state of alarm, at that time, the corresponding LED and relay contact are off. The peak value saved in history should be cleared by software.

5.Zero position confirmation
5.1The zero position was setted before shipping from the factory. Push the shaft to mechanical zero poison then
adjustthe gap between sensor and target let the monitor indicates zero then fix the sensor tightly. If there is an error after fixing, adjust the monitor by zero shift function of the monitor. Make sure the monitor range is in linear range of the transducer after using zero shift function. Following is how to use the zero shift function:
5.2 Start the zero shift function by software in computer or palmtop computer. Symbol of ―±‖ flashes at the same time. Select the corresponding channel then press ―zero confirmation‖ key on the print board (channel A: ―KEY3‖ key, channel B: ―KEY4‖ key) let the monitor indicate zero.
6.Press the reset key to return to measurement mode and indicate measured value.
6 MATTERS NEED ATTENTION
1.Please provide the polarity (wether the indication decreases or increases when target moves toward sensor) when place the order
2.The interconnection cable from transducer to instrument should be 3-core shield cable and the current output cable should be twisted-pair shield cable. Confirm it before turning power on.
3.Make sure the case of driver should be isolated against ground and the connector for cable should have good isolated capability.
4.The bracket the sensor mounted should be rigid enough to avoid vibration and being damaged when operates. In order to avoid being broke off make sure not contort the cable connected to sensor by force.。

5.If the capacity of control circuit exceeds the capacity of relay contact, mid-relay should be used.
7 TROUBLE SHOOTING
1.If the monitor displaies ―….‖, it means t he transducer is in nonlinear range or the damage of transducer. 2.Unstable display: The case of transducer or connector of extended cable and the ―Com‖ of singal wire connect to the ground. Check it and make it be isolated. The lack of stiffness of bracket or infirm installation of sensor can also cause this.。
