摘要：
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of registering an icon capable of easily inputting information on a person, and to provide a digital still camera to which the method is applied.
SOLUTION: By the method for registering an icon, an icon image representing a person is made to associate with identification information on a person. In this case, the icon 61 of a silhouette image of a person represented by a line drawing in advance is preregistered, an image for the icon including the portion of the face of the person is created from a photographed image acquired by an image pickup device, and the icon 61 of the silhouette image is replaced with the icon image created from the photographed image.
