Activity 1:Guessing game.
T:Hello, boys and girls, I'm Kaitly. Welcome to my class.
We are going to learn Unit 5. Who is he?First,Let's
play a guessing game. This boy is Baobao. This girl is
Guoguo. This man is uncle Tom. This woman is Miss
Wang. They are the people in our English book. There are many people in our lives. Today our Topic is “Who are they?"

Step2: Learning the New Dialogue in Lesson17
Activity 2: Watch and learn the dialogue for the first time.
1.Question: What are they talking about?
2.At first,Students talk about the picture , and then
watch the dialogue to find out the answer.
3.Check the answer.

Q2: Where are they?
Q3: What are they talking about?

1.Listen and repeat:

2.Practice in roles:

Activity 5: Watch and talk about the dialogue (Picture 2).
1.Possible Question: Who's that boy?
2.Students watch the dialogue and find out what
they say.

T: What does Yangyang ask? Yes, Yangyang asks,
“Who's that boy?” and Lingling says, “He's Victor, my friend.” Yangyang asks, “How many friends do you have?” and Lingling says, “I have many friends.”

意)”and Lingling answers He's my uncle.”Yangyang also
wants to know about that boy . So he asks“ Who's that
boy?”and Lingling answers“ He's Victor,my friend.”

1.Maomao and Miss Chen are talking at the school gate.

Activity 14: Learn to say the “Letter Sound”:
1.Story Time:
T: Look ! This is a man.He wears a uniform. He drives a van. Is it fun?
