Use the words given below if necessary.
Suggested Answers:
1.Do you like vegetables? Why?
a. Yes, I like them very much. Some of them are very
delicious and can keep our skin young. Besides, we
can take in nutrition from them and maintain a
healthy and balanced diet.
2. What do you think of the food in McDonald’s?
The food in McDonald’s is very tasty and many people around the world are really into
it. It’s OK to eat it occasionally, but eating too much will cause health problems such
as getting too fat, which is exactly what the boys in the second picture are suffering, I
guess.
设计思路给出生活中某些场景的图片,导入“食物”这个话题。

具体教法建议让学生分组讨论,可以借助词典查阅图片中食品的英文名,并鼓
劢其想出别的食品,在PPT上展示一些食品的图片让学生讲出英文。

如果学生有
一定基础,可以介绍一些中西餐分类词汇。

提示词汇图片中的词汇:Coca—Cola,French fries,
botdog,ketchup,whole—wheat bread,line up...
名词举例:cuisine,starter,main course.
dessert,knife and fork,steak.cheese,potato
chips,spaghetti,ramen,fried beef with green
pepper(“青椒炒牛肉”,注意中文菜名的这种译法),hot pot…
形容词举例:delicious,tasty,yummy,crispy...
常用餐饮动词:sip,swallow,bite,nibble...

To my knowledge, this cooking pot is called the earthen pot.
Many Chinese families have one or more. My mom often uses it to cook porridge (粥)
or soup, which taste more delicious than those cooked by electricity-driven cookers.
However, it really takes a long time to cook them. I guess that’s why they taste so
good.

“Stage fright” is the anxiety, or fear which may be aroused in an individual by the
requirement to perform in pubic before audience.
2.What are the people in the second picture doing?
This picture is about basketball training. The trainer, that is, the person in red, is
probably teaching the trainees some skills, and the trainees are listening to him very
carefully.
