Draw a timeline of yesterday morning and afternoon on the board. Review Where were you?
T:Where were you yesterday afternoon?
Places Picture from SB 6 Unit 2 on the board.
T:I went to the shopping mall yesterday afternoon .I ate cake.
Continue this asking the Ss to answer truthfully about what they did.Write down examples on the board.
Presentation
T: Now, let’s li sten to the tape.
Hold up the book and point to the pictures.
T:Let’s listen again and repeat.
Play the tape, pausing after each expression to have Ss repeat.
Put Ss into groups of four or five(the fifth student is Gogo)
Give groups time to practice reading and acting out the dialog. Extension activity TB p. 59
Practice1
Have Ss look at the picture for A.
Write she was at_____. Undernearth question A on the board.
T:(Point to the board.)(S1’s name),please answer using these words. Number 1,[S1: She was at the (subway station.)]
Continue with the other three pictures for A.
T:Let’s listen to the tape.
Play the tape for A,then pause.
T:Put a checkmark in the box.(S2’s name),what was she doing at 11:00?[S2: She was planting some flowers.]
Repeat the procedures with the other three questions.

Put Ss in pairs and name them student A or B.
Demonstrate with one pair first
T:Now talk to your partners and write.
Walk around the classroom to provide help if needed.
Ask some pairs to share their findings with the class ,e.g.

Song activity
Have Ss look at the pictures around the lyrics.
Ask individual Ss to read out the sentences.
T:Now let’s listen to the tape.
Play the tape and point to each word as it is song.
Play the tape again and all Ss practice singing together.
Divide the class into two groups.
Have one group sing the question parts and the other group sing the responses.Then switch.
