1.What do you think is a “defining moment” ?
One possible answer: A defining moment is one that may change one’s life. It becomes defining because whatever choice one makes---to stand tall, to fall backward, or to move forward -- one knows he/she will never be the same. How one behaves in such a moment demonstrates one’s character and personal qualities: some may behave courageously while others may act in a cowardly way.
1.The phase “a defining moment” is the key word of the text. To help the students to gain a through understanding of the phrase, you should encourage the students to explore its meaning by their knowledge and experiences. 2.grasp some new words and try to use these words which help them to enrich their vocabulary. 3.How to use the “-ing participle” as adverbials of manner, cause, etc. and the absolute construction. 4.How to fill in invoices.
