Step 3. Whilereading.

Observe the two pictures
and answer the questions.

2.Fast reading.
Look through the passage
about Jenny’s family and
circle the names.
Report their answers.
3.Careful reading.
Read again and make some judgments.
Read again and finish 2c. Check their answers in pair and then in class.
Sa: My name is Jenny.
Read the passage and plete the blanks of the mind map. Then use the key words and mind map to recite the passage.
Sa: Hi, I’m ... Here are ... In the first photo ... In the next picture ...
Step 4. Postreading.
Retell the passage based on the sentence bank.
Work in groups and share their family photos.
Sa: Hi, I’m Bob. Here is a nice photo of my family. My parents are in the photo. ...
Step 5. Conclusion.
Have a summary of what they’ve learned this lesson.
Provide some statements for Ss to judge.
Ask Ss to plete the sentences according to the passage.
Provide a mind map for Ss to plete.
Encourage Ss to retell the passage based on the mind map.
Offer the “sentence bank”and guide Ss to plete the article.
Then encourage Ss to introduce their own family photo in groups of four. Offer some useful sentence structures.
Explain the language points and ask Ss to do exercises.
