Climate change is having a profound impact on ocean ecosystems around the world. The rise in global temperatures is causing sea levels to increase, leading to coastal erosion and threatening the habitats of many marine species. Additionally, the warming of the oceans is disrupting the delicate balance of marine ecosystems, with devastating consequences for marine life. One of the most significant effects of climate change on ocean ecosystems is coral bleaching. Coral reefs are highly sensitive to changes in water temperature, and as the oceans warm, corals are expelling the algae that live within their tissues, causing them to turn white and eventually die. The absorption of excess carbon dioxide by the oceans is causing the pH levels to decrease, making the water more acidic.
