1) LARGE APPLIANCES
1.1 Surfaces identification
1.2 Test list
1.3 Qualification criteria
After the test, the unit must be fault free and with no visible defect; damages on the packaging is accepted but it must be possible further transportation.
1.4 Clamps
Test must be performed on 8 units.
Clamp force: 12 kN
Number of clamp attempt: 8 attempts on 8 units together (4 on top and 4 on bottom), 8 attempts on 1 single unit
Test procedure:
- clamp the units at max force
- lift the package
- carry the package for 10m
- lower the package at max speed and stop abruptly
1.5 Vibration test
Equipment: vibration table
Samples: 1 unit without load and 1 unit with load
Load: Load = (max stacked units – 1) x packaged unit mass Load applied on top of the unit
Procedure:
Acceleration: 0,52 g
Duration: 30min
If vibration table is not available, the following test in alternative: Frequency: 5Hz
Acceleration: 1,1g (vertical)
Duration: 30min
1.6 Impact test
To be performed with a drop table or an inclined plane.
Equipment:
Impacts from below:
Edge 5/3 under 10° on surface 3
Edge 2/3 under 10° on surface 3
Edge 4/3 under 10° on surface 3
Edge 6/3 under 10° on surface 3
Surface impacts:
Surfaces 2,3,4,5,6 under 0°
Drop height (free fall): 25cm
1.7 Stacking test
Stacking height: 6m/8m
Test duration: 30 days
2) PALLETIZED UNITS
2.1 Stacking test
Stacking with the maximum pallets for 4 weeks.; after the test each package must be in perfect condition.
2.2 Drop test
Drop on 6 different edges on a 10° from horizontal inclined surface.
Drop height based on previous table, for weights lower than 50kg, height drop is 52 cm. Packaging can be damaged, but the product must be intact.。
