一、教学目标
1.能够听懂、认读、口头朗读生词和词组:left, right, go straight, turn left, turn right。
2.能够熟练运用以上单词和词组表述自己和别人的方向。
3.能够进行交流和配合,正确指引人或者跟随他人走路并到达指定地点。
二、教学重难点

三、教学过程
1. Warming-up
1.Greetings: T: Hello, boys and girls. How are you today? Ss: Good morning/afternoon, Miss./Sir. I’m fine, thank you. And you? T: I’m fine, too. Thank you.
2.Play a game called “Simon Says”. The teacher will give a command for directions: “Simon says, go straight”, “Simon says, turn left”, etc. And the students will follow the instructions.
2. Presentation
1.Show the flashcard with “left” on it and make sure students understand the meaning.
e the sentence “Turn left” to present the meaning of “left”.
3.Show the same steps for the word “right”.
e gestures and facial expressions to help students better understand the meanings.
5.Present the phrase “go straight” and show it on the flashcard.
6.Explain the meaning of “go straight”. Students should have a clear understanding that “go straight” means not turning left or right, but continuing to walk forward.
3. Practice
1.Have the students practice repeating the words and phrases after the teacher.
2.Divide the class into pairs. One student will close their eyes and the other student will give directions to a designated spot within the classroom. Use phrases like “go straight”, “turn left”, “turn right”, etc. Switch roles and repeat.
3.Ask students to stand up and practice following the teacher’s directions around the classroom with phrases like: “Turn right”, “Go straight”, “Turn left”, etc.
4. Production
1.Have the students work in groups of three. One student will be the “tourist”, one will be the “guide” and the other will be the “observer”.
2.The guide will give directions to the tourist. The tourist will follow the directions and reach the destination. The observer will watch the process and take notes.
3.The observer will give feedback on the guide’s instructions, and the guide can improve accordingly.
5. Summary and Extension
1.Summarize the lesson and review the vocabulary words and phrases with the students.
2.Give students an extension assignment where they will practice giving directions to places in their city or village.
四、教学评估
1.Obs erve the students’ behavior during the pairwork and groupwork activities. See if they are actively participating and cooperating with each other during the tasks.
2.Give a short quiz at the end of the lesson to assess students’ knowledge of the lesson’s voca bulary and grammar.
3.Evaluate students’ participation and oral performance during class discussions and group activities.

七、教学反思
1.During the groupwork activity, some students were hesitant to communicate in English. For the next class, I will try to create a more comfortable and engaging environment that encourages them to participate more actively.
2.The assessment quiz was too easy for some students and too
difficult for others. For the next class, I will try to create a more balanced quiz that can as sess each student’s individual level of understanding.
3.Some students were confused about the differences between “go straight” and “turn left/right”. In the next class, I will use more visual aids and real-world examples to clarify the meanings of these phrases.。
