Simien National Park was one of the first sites to be listed in 1978. It is one of the highest mountain areas in Africa, and the WHL calls it “one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world”. A middleaged man in Canada who fell off a horse and hit his head has woken up with a Scottish accent(口音). The Canadian man with two children is now writing a book describing how his foreign accent from an accident changed his life pletely.
John Keynes, a 45yearold man who manages a horseriding school in Ontario, had never been to Scotland before the accident in 2008.
According to local reports, John Keynes was knocked unconscious when he hit his head after he fell from his favorite horse. He was unable to speak for a few days. When his voice eventually returned, it came out with an uncontrollable stutter(口吃). A speech expert worked with him to recover his voice for eight weeks.
The Canadian man was shocked when he could speak with a Scottish accent. Doctors told him that he was one of about 60 people in the world who experienced the effects of the condition. John Keynes did some research on his family background and discovered that his ancestors ing from Scotland and came to Canada more than a century ago. Chinese billionaire has said that the world’s best CEO will be a robot within the next 30 years.
“In 30 years, a robot will likely be on the cover of Time Magazine as the best CEO,” Ma, the 52yearold founder of Alibaba said in a speech over the weekend at an entrepreneurship (创业) conference in central China. Can animals be artistic? Some experts thinks so. Painting and music are part of efforts to keep animals happy at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. Zookeepers there believe that animals need enrichment just like people do.
