摘要：PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction of an automatic gas shutoff device caused by adhesion owing to secular change by accomodating the valve, the moving part of the device, in the valve chest isolated from the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:When sensing any oscillation owing to earthquake etc., a valve 8 falls down against the magnetic force of a metal rod 9 to choke the opening 7 of valve and shut off the gas. At this time, the pressure of the gas flowing into the valve chest 4 through a nozzle 6 is applied to the upper part of valve 8, which is thereby pressed strongly to the edge of opening 7 of the valve to shut off the gas. For resetting the valve 8, a permanent magnet 13 is sunk against the pushing force of a spring 14, that will magnetize the lowermost part of metal rod 9 and the valve 8. Thus the valve 8 is attracted upward and hung at the lowermost part of metal rod 9 to open the opening 7 of valve.
