2. Learn some setences patterns.
3.pare the use of “when”and “while”
Ability aims: do some related practice.
Teaching aid: puter and blackboard

1. Learn some setences patterns(present continue tense and past continous tense)
2. Understand the differences between “when”and “while”,and can do some practice.
Step1. Warming up
1. Say Good morning to the students.

1.Ask students what their reaction if they meet a UFO.And they can answer like this:run/speak to it/feel scared/so surprise and so on
2.Let’s enjoy a video about other people’s reaction when they meet an alien.
3.give a summary about this video.we donot know whether the aliens exist or not ,that is not important,we can have fun ,that is enough.
Step3. Presentation
1.Before our class,ask students to look at the pictures,and ask some students to tell us what they are, Check the answers.
2.read out together to consolate.
3.show the differences between two tenses,pay much attention to the am/is/are+doing and was/were+doing.
Step4 practice
1.ask and answer like this :“where was she?“she was in the bathroom.”“what was she doing when the ufo arrived?”“She was taking a shower when the ufo arrived.”Then bine the two sentences into a plete sentence.
2.Then read out together
3.Give them several minutes to practice the sentence“where were you doing when UFO arrived?”“I was—doing when the UFO arrived”
Step5 Game Time
1 Separate all students into two groups,which group is much faster.
2.Give them a picture aks them what was she/he doing?or what were you/they doing 9o’clock last day?
3.wele the better one.
Step6 Presentation
1.pare two sentences,pay attention to “when ”and ”while”
2.make some setences with them.
3.Give a summary about the use of “when”and”while”.
Step7Consolidation
Do some exercises about when and while then check the answers.
Step8Development
Give them two proverbs:Don’t touch it, While the dog is sleeping.
While there is life,there is hope.
Step9 Homework
1. Remember the new words.
2. Have a dictation tomorrow.
3.Finish the homework on your exercise book.。
