T:Do you know these books?
Ss:They are A Dream in Red Mansions and Journey to the West.
T:Have you read them yet?
S1:Yes,I have read both of them.
T:So which one do you like best?
S1:I like Journey to the West best because the story is very interesting and everyone did a good job...
T:That's very good.And today we'll learn some stories about other people and their great books.
设计意图:用学生熟知的名著来导入,激发学生的兴趣,调动全班学生参与的积极性。

环节2学习活动1-3
1.两人一组,就P56的人物图片进行问答练习,询问对方图中的人物是谁,为什么出名。

然后播放录音,检查学生对人物的描述是否正确。

2.再次播放录音,完成活动2中的句子并核对答案。

3.播放活动3中的录音,让学生标出其中的生词、重点短语及难句,然后老师进行讲解。

4.学生自己阅读对话,然后完成活动3中的练习,老师检查并核对答案。

5.学生两人一组,分角色扮演活动3中的人物并表演对话,老师抽取几组学生当堂表演。

6.要点点拨。

(1)But I think I'd describe Confucius more as a teacher and thinker than a writer.但我认为我会更多地将孔子描述成一位教育家和思想家,而不是作家。

①describe...as...把……描述成……例:He is described as a successful businessman.他被描述为一个成功的商人。

②more...than...与其说……不如说……/是……而不是……例:He is more afraid than cautious.与其说他谨慎,不如说他害怕。

(2)Why don't you join in the discussion and tell us about it?你为何不加入讨论会并和我们谈一谈这本书呢?
Why don't you do sth.?=Why not do sth.?这两个句型后用动词原形。

用来向他人提出建议,意为“何不……呢?”。

例:Why don't you come earlier?你为何不早点儿来呢?
7.学以致用。

(根据汉语意思完成句子)
(1)让我们一起来加入关于世界环境的讨论。

Let's __join_in_the_discussion__ about the world environment.
(2)即使是最简单的日常活动也会对环境造成重大影响。

Even the simplest daily activities can also __have_a_great_influence__ on the environment.
(3)他伤倒不算什么,可受惊不小。

He was __more__ frightened __than__ hurt.
(4)顺便说一下,他们经常把废水倒进河里。

__By_the_way__,they often pour the waste water into the river.
设计意图:通过小组讨论图中的人物,让学生展开头脑风暴,考验学生平时的知识积累。

并通过多次的听力感知,加强对听力和情景的理解。
