In modern society, drugs are becoming a more and more serious problem in the world. The trade of drugs is widespread, which costs up to $800 billion every year.
As we all know, drugs not only do great harm to our health, even causing people to die at an early age but also directly contribute to the happening of crimes. As is shown on the chart above, 30% of the teenagers taking drugs are cheated into doing it, and 50% are driven by curiosity. Another 15% just seek excitements or try to get rid of their anxieties and the rest try it for some other reasons.
In my opinion, in order to protect us students from drugs, we should be careful to make friends and stay away from those who always behave badly. Also, it s very important for us to lead a healthy lifestyle and hold positive attitudes towards life.

Recently we surveyed 368 middle school students on how they spent the 2013 Spring Festival. 30% said they spent most of their time with their parents visiting relatives and friends while 25% went travelling with classmates or parents. 45% of all those surveyed indicated that they just stayed at home to do homework. When asked how they felt about the Spring Festival, most said they enjoyed it because of the holiday and lucky money they got, but some felt unhappy because the amount of homework they were given left little time for fun activities. Many students expressed the hope that next year they will have less homework and more free time.

Last Wednesday, I had an interview with Jet Li, the founder of One Foundation, about its development as well as his viewpoints on the charity work in China. As he stated, One Foundation, established on April 19th, 2007, promotes the idea that a monthly donation of one yuan from each individual helps form a big family where everyone cares about each other. He added that the fund is supervised as it provides the public with an annual report on how the money is spent. What makes it different is that, as a non-profit organization, it is operated by dozens of employees with overseas work experience. From his perspective, though worried about the effects of some related latest negative news, he expects that the charity work in China will attract more and more people to participate in it in the future.

I ll arrive in England in February, and I m wondering whether you can help me find an accommodation. It ll be better if the location is near the campus, which makes it possible to go to the university by bike or on foot. To reduce the cost, I would like to share an apartment with two rooms and separate toilets, a kitchen and a living room with another student. She/He must be from an English-speaking country, such as America, Australia, Canada and so on. In this way, I can not only make new friends but also learn more about foreign culture.
