三、阅读理解
A
During the years of game making, there have been a number of games. Many old games have disappeared since modern games come out.
Teachers at a primary school asked their students to write articles about games they knew and were shocked by the results. Half of the 50 children in one of the classes wrote about online games.
It is easy to see that traditional games like hide-and-seek and jump rope games are unfamiliar to many of today's school children, who like to play computer games —especially in the cities, with the rising popularity of TV, the Internet, video and online games.
An educationalist said, "Traditional games used to be so popular, but over just a few years, students have forgotten them. It's sad."
The games that many parents once played are generally outdoor activities, and they are enjoyed during breaks or after school. They usually need several partners and just a little space.
Jump rope games, for example, have always been popular in countries around the world. A kind of jump rope game, played with rubber bands which are connected together to make a long rope, is played in many countries.
Rubber band jumping(跳皮筋) was once very popular in primary schools. Girls loved playing this game. This game can help kids practice their jumping skills, develop coordination (协调), and also meet lots of friends.
It is common these days to see primary school students spending their breaks in the classroom. They are busy with their studies.
"When we were young, we played many different outdoor games, but today's children don't know what to play or how to play," a 40-year-old mother said. "If these kids want something, they can get it, but they don't know what teamwork is."
Alarmed by the situation, educational officers have tried to make some programs to educate children about traditional games.

B[2018北京改编]
We often reach a point in our life when we should be ready for change that will help us unlock our self-improvement power. However, there's always something staring at us right under our nose but we don't see it. The only time we think of unlocking our
self-improvement power is when everything gets worst.
When do we realize that we need to change diets? When none of our shirts and jeans would fit us. When do we stop eating candies and chocolates? When all of our teeth
have fallen off. When do we realize that we need to stop smoking? When our lungs have gone bad. We see the warning signs and signals when things get rough and difficult.
The only time most of us ever learn about unlocking our self-improvement power is when the whole world is falling apart. We think and feel this way because it is not easy to change, but change becomes more painful when we ignore it.
Change will happen, like it or hate it. At one point or another, we are all going to finally unlock our self-improvement power not because the world says so, but because we realize it's for our own good.
Happy people don't just accept change; they embrace (拥抱)it. Unlocking our
self-improvement power means unlocking ourselves out of the box of thought that is just the way we are. It is such a poor excuse for people who fear change.
Jane always tells everyone that she doesn't have the courage to be around groups of people. She heard her family tell the same things about her to other people. Over the years, that is what Jane has believed. Every time a great crowd come, she steps back and locks herself up in a room. Jane not only believes in her story, but lives it!
Self-improvement may not be everybody's favorite word, but if we look at things in a different way, we might have greater chances of enjoying the whole process instead of counting the days until we are fully improved. Three sessions in a week at the gym would result in a healthier life. Reading books every day would build up knowledge. And only when we are enjoying the whole process of unlocking our self-improvement power will we realize that we're beginning to take things lightly and become happy.

When I was a young child, my parents often told me that a positive(积极的) heart would bring man everything. I didn't understand and wondered why it had such a big influence on a person. And now, 1I'm just a middle school student, I'd like to show my opinions on this saying.
"To make this world a nice place to live in, please change 2heart." The sentence made me lost in thought. There are so many things around us 3go against our will (意志). We can't force life to follow our 4. The earth won't stop turning whether we accept it or not. What we can do is just 5ourselves suit the world. I think we should learn to 6welcome whatever life gives us, the spring sunlight or the winter snowfall, and try to get pleasure from it.
I have tried to catch every pleasant thing in my life. For example, I was 7up by my teacher when I was in trouble, mother hugged me when I was in fear, and a stranger helped me when I was in 8. I realize that I don't just live alone and that there are others around me that I should think of. They all pay attention to my growing up, and are proud of the success that I have 9already.
