摘要：PURPOSE:A binder, consisting of aluminum lactate, having improved fire and heat resistance, capable of imparting improved bonding strength regardless of the kind and use of the material to be bonded and improved operability. CONSTITUTION:A binder consisting of (A) aluminum lactate and (B) a substance containing silica, e.g. silica flower, having <=10mu particle diameter at <=2.0 molar ratio between the SiO2 and Al2O3 in the component (A) or (C) >=20%, expressed in terms of MO (M is alkaline earth metal), based on Al2O3 in the component (A), substance containing an alkaline earth metal, e.g. quick lime or calcium hydroxide. The component (A) is obtained by reacting a water-soluble aluminum salt, e.g. aluminum chloride, with an alkali carbonate of an alkali metal or ammonium, etc., and dissolving the formed and precipitated hydrated alumina in lactic acid.
