Before The Struggle, Rain was living a simple life in the peaceful village of Glacierford. He was present when one of the village inhabitants named Oscar killed a Zombie that had tried to attack their village.
The next day, Oscar became an infected Zombie himself, and started infecting and killing people in the village. During this time, Rain, Abigail Crysteffor, and several other survivors fled the village. They tried to outrun the Zombies through the vast snow taiga, however Herobrine's army eventually caught up to them.
While the other survivors fought the Zombies, Rain engaged in a duel with Herobrine, but was unable to defeat him because Herobrine teleported away. With the rest of the survivors killed, Rain and Abigail attempt to cross a bridge but a creeper explodes and separates them, one on each side of the bridge. Abigail is killed and Rain is infected.
In Cold as Ice, Rain's body is recovered when Ser Patrick and Daryll theBandit cross into the area to wipe out the remaining Undead. After feeding him a potion, they return to their base (the Dreadfort) on horseback, carrying his body.
At the Dreadfort, Rain is revived and cured by Lady Azura, one eye turning red in the process, and joins
the Frostbourne faction. He starts training and is eventually given an Ice Armorset and an ice sword.
The Ender Watchers later laid siege to the Dreadfort, which was ended after Rain teleported to the End and tamed
the Ender Dragon.
In We Are the Danger, Rain was included in a storm for Glacierford. Riding on the back of the Ender Dragon, Rain was able to destroy the towers above before aiming to burn Herobrine before he could escape, ultimately failing. When Herobrine returns with the Nether Horde, Rain
encounters Nether Princess Abigail, who wastes little time attacking Rain with intent to kill. Unwilling to hurt his love, Rain does his best to dodge her incredible speed, leading for him to instead immobilize her with ice before fleeing on the Dragon. His ice sword and Ice Armorset are absent for some reason in the following episodes.
Following up in Just So You Know, Rain bursts into Azura's lab to ask her for help in fixing his broken heart. He wallows in his grief, reflecting on the times before Abigail and himself died and became enemies after revival, which is when his
vengeance takes over. Stealing one of Azura's prototype rifles and two diamond swords, he heads to the Nether to
take revenge against its occupants, where he kills
multiple Ghasts, Pigmen, Wither Skeletons,
and Blazes (including Scorch), before dropping down to fight King Glutton. Rain's reckless, vengeful, rage driven attacks lead for him to be severely injured by Glutton before Rain is able to decapitate him. Abigail then approaches, to which Rain sheds a tear before the two charge at each other, Abigail easily besting him due to his weakened state. As she lands a devastating blow to his heart, Rain is able to stab her in the neck, killing her, before he collapses from the pain.
Rain is not seen again, presumed dead by the Frostbourne, until Wings of Salvation. He is shown to be fighting off multiple Pigmen in his weakened, near dead state, however Azura flies in and kills them and incoming enemy Wither Skeletons sent by General Naeus (who is revealed in the next episode to have Abigail's body). Azura quickly runs out of ammunition for her weapons, and is forced to flee with Rain through a Nether Portal and back to the Dreadfort.
In Wither Heart, it is revealed that Rain has contracted a Wither Heart Curse, received from when Abigail stabbed him
in the heart. Stella, after a heated argument with Ser Patrick, goes with Rain to the Mystic Forest to find the cure
(a Wither Book) at her hometown, the Coven Village. They travel through several different biomes and ruins left from the Undeadreign, and as night falls set up camp. The peace is not kept for long as Rain and Stella are forced to fight off the scattered Undead that try to attack them, Rain's withering growing to the point where his left eye has reverted to the state it was during his time as a Zombie. The withering continues to grow to a point where, as they get near the village, Rain becomes immobilized, collapsing to the ground and forcing Stella to go on alone. After encountering and defeating Infernius, Stella finds the Wither Book, which she uses to cure Rain's sickness. Upon reawakening, she embraces him, much to Rain's shock.
In the end scene of Ender Wish, Rain and Stella are seen to still be at the Coven Village reading the Wither Book, until they observe a beacon of light from an Ender Chest. They quickly run over to it and find a wounded Zeganirn lying beside it.
In Wishing Dead, Rain and Stella are on a boat arguing about whether they should or should not fight alongside Zeganirn. The argument is won when Rain says that t hey’ll carry
the torch of the Ender Watchers together. Later, Rain is leading Stella through a forest, which morphs into the Tundra Cliffs. They set up camp in a clearing, however the peace does not last long. Djinn, having survived against Zeganirn, sneaks up on them, and attempts to kill both of them by throwing knives covered in Demon Poison. A knife struck Stella in the stomach, which puts her in a coma. Rain hit the other knife out of the air with his sword before realizing what had happened. Rain, in fury, raises the Ender Greatswordand meets Djinn head on. When Rain attempts to cleave Djinn, he misses, which leaves Djinn the opportunity to slash Rain‘s left eye. Rain furiously retorts to melee, kicking Djinn into a tree before bashing him against said tree. He stabs one of the knives into Djinn's eye and kicks him down, which is when his left eye opens to reveal it has adopted an appearance similar to that of Ceris's eyes. As Djinn turns around, Rain swings the Greatsword and decapitates him.
The morning after the battle, Rain pulls out and examines the dagger that hit Stella, with his left eye reverted back to the way it was before the battle. He proceeds to carry Stella on his back and walks through the snowy taiga to a cliffside. Stella wakes up at the cliff, with black scleras and red irises,
and flails, causing Rain to fall off the cliff. When he gets up, Stella has been overtaken by the Demon Curse, now possessing fangs and horns. Rain's face reflects his sorrow before Stella attacks him in a feral manner. He is able to dodge her first attack and blocks her latter three, reluctant to fight her in this state. Stella, seeming to take note of this hesitance, punches Rain in the gut before unleashing a barrage of incendiary attacks, sending him backwards. With no other options, Rain calls the Wither Book to hand, and fires a spell on Stella. He is met by an ear splitting shriek as Stella's humanity is forced back into her. When the screaming stops, Rain doesn't have time to react before he is punched into a tree, losing consciousness. When Rain regains consciousness, Stella had fled, having her humanity fully restored, and his left eye was now back in its Ender form.
In Falling, after witnessing Kane shoot Stella as she runs, Rain sucker punches Kane and starts a fight. As he knocks Kane to the ground for the first time, he narrowly dodges a Karambit from Ciara, and watches her escape after Stella. Kane gets back up and the two re-engage, but Rain once again wins, showing sportsmanship as he helps Kane up. The two then pursue the girls.
Rain and Kane find Ciara with a second iteration Arcane Blade pinning her to a tree at the camp Rain and Stella had shared. Rain quickly uses the Wither Book to free her, and they go to find Stella. As they near the Coven Village, the three witness the beacons from the End Chests lighting up the sky, and hurry to the village. There, they see Stella mourning Zeganirn, causing Rain to run to her, shouting her name as Kane holds Ciara back. It takes Stella a moment to recognize his voice, but when she does, she turns to look at Rain in surprise, her eyes back to normal.。
