A Language Programme for Teenagers
Welcome to Teenagers Abroad! We invite you to join us on an amazing journey of language learning.
Our Courses
Regardless of your choice of course, you'll develop your language ability both quickly and effectively.
Our Standard Course guarantees a significant increase in your confidence in a foreign language, with focused teaching in all 4 skill areas—speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Our Intensive Course builds on our Standard Course, with 10 additional lessons per week, guaranteeing the fastest possible language learning (see table below).
Course Type Days Number of Lessons Course Timetable
Standard Course Mon—Fri 20 lessons 900-1230
Intensive Course Mon—Fri 20 lessons 900-1230 10 lessons 1300-1430
Students are placed into classes according to their current language skills. The majority of them take on online language test before starting their programme. However, if this is not available, students sit the exam on the first Monday of their course.
Learning materials are provided to students throughout their course, and there will never be more than 15 participants in each class.
Arrivals and Transfer
Our programme offers the full package—students are taken good care of from the start through to the very end. They are collected from the airport upon arrival and brought to their accommodation in comfort. We require the students' full flight details at least 4 weeks in advance.
Meals/Allergies (过敏)/Special Dietary Requirements
Students are provided with breakfast, dinner and either a cooked or packed lunch (which consists of a sandwich, a drink and a dessert).Snacks outside of mealtimes may be purchased by the students individually.
We ask that you let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements as well as information about any medicines you take. Depending on the type of allergies and/or dietary requirements, an extra charge may be made for providing special food.

More students than ever before are taking a gap year (间隔年)before going to university. It used to be called the “year off”between school and university. The gap-year phenomenon originated (起源) with the months left over to Oxbridge applicants between entrance exams in November and the start of the next academic year.
This year, 25,310 students who have accepted places in higher education institutions have put off their entry until next year, according to statistics on university entrance provided by the University and College Admissions Service (UCAS).That is a record 14. 7% increase in the number of students taking a gap year. Tony Higgins from UCAS said that the statistics are good news for everyone in higher education. “Students who take a well-planned year out are more likely to be satisfied with, and complete, their chosen course. Students who take a gap year are often more mature and responsible,”he said.
But not everyone is happy. Owain James, the president of the National Union of Students (NUS),argued that the increase is evidence of student hardship—young people are being forced into earning money before finishing their education. “New students are now aware that they are likely to leave university up to £ debt. It is not surprising that more and more students are taking a gap year to earn money to support their study for the degree. NUS statistics show that over 40% of students are forced to work during term time and the figure increases to 90% during vacation periods,”he said.

故填made。

故填to understand。

故填is formed。

故填It。

故填is。

Welcome to our school! There are three roads leading our campus and you can choose any one to come in. Entered the campus from the eastern gate, you'll find a tall library building one hundred meters in front of you. Behind the library was our playground, on which we do sports regular after class. On your left stand two modern teaching buildings, there we have lessons every day. On your right, the laboratory building greets you and the gym is at the opposite side. To the south of the library line our dormitory building side by side. Ninety meters away from the north of a library is our canteen. I am sure you will not have good access to all of the beautifully-designed buildings in your school.

故将was改为is。

第六处:at→on“在对面”应用on the opposite side,故将at改为on。

第八处:a→the library指代上文中提到的a tall library,因此表特指,其前应用定冠词the。

故将a改为the。

第十处:your→our此处指“我们的学校”,应用our。
