Title: Dynamic Monitoring and Simulation Prediction of Land
Use/Cover Change Based on Nonlinear Least Squares Method: A Case
Study of Hetian Oasis
Research Background:
With the development of society and economy, human activities
have greatly accelerated the process of land use/cover change (LUCC),
which has far-reaching impacts on the environment, ecosystem, and economic development. Therefore, it is of great significance to study
the dynamic process of LUCC and make accurate predictions for the
future land use pattern.
Research Objectives:
The objective of this study is to monitor the dynamic changes of
land use/cover in Hetian oasis and simulate and predict the future land
use pattern by using the nonlinear least squares method.
Research Methods:
1. Collecting and processing remote sensing images of Hetian oasis
from 1990 to 2020.
2. Using the object-oriented method to classify remote sensing
images into different land use/cover categories.
3. Applying the nonlinear least squares method to model and
analyze the LUCC process in Hetian oasis.
4. Predicting the future land use pattern of Hetian oasis based on
the established model.
Research Significance:
The research is expected to provide a better understanding of the
LUCC process in Hetian oasis and help decision-makers formulate
sustainable land use policies. In addition, the study can provide a
reference for land use management and planning in other regions with
similar environmental conditions.
Expected Outcomes:
1. The establishment of a dynamic monitoring and simulation prediction model for LUCC in Hetian oasis.
2. The prediction of the future land use pattern of Hetian oasis.
3. Providing feedback and insights for policy-makers and land use planners.。
