Instead of telling her the truth and potentially hurting her feelings, I might say something like "It looks great on you!" This is a sweet lie because I am not being completely honest, but I am also not being mean or hurtful.
However, if my friend were to ask me for my honest opinion on something important, like a job interview outfit or a potential love interest, I would always tell her the truth. It may be tough to hear, but it's better than living
a lie and potentially making a mistake.
