【教学目标】
1.能够熟练掌握本课的短语和典型句子。
2.通过中心话题“最终和平”,让学生意识到同学之间要友好相处。
3.培养学生与人友好相处的优良品质。
4.能够熟读课文并回答课后的问题。
5.树立关下“和平”这一话题正确的态度。
【教学重难点】
重点:掌握文中的短语:knock at敲(门、窗)等/rather than而不是,宁可……也不愿和典型句子Steven and I were ready to beat each other!/Steven is knocking at my door./we all want peace rather than fighting.。
在否定中并列结构用or连接,但含有两个否定词的句子实际被看作是肯定结构,因此要用and。

Read the following proverbs about friendship.Translate them into Chinese and discuss some of them with your friends.
A friend in need is a friend indeed.
A good friend is like a mirror.
Tell me about your friends,and I’ll tell you who you are.
A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
3.句子:Steven and I were ready to beat each other!
Steven is knocking at my door.
We all want peace rather than fighting.
4.语法:连词or,and,but,so的用法
T:Yes,you are right.Then do you agree that a good friendship makes life happy?
Ss:Yes,I agree.
T:OK,today we are going to look whether Danny and Steven are reconciled.
3.复习连词的用法
比较and和or
(1)并列结构中,or通常用于否定句,and用于肯定句。
(2)但有时and也可用于否定句。请注意其不同特点:
There isno air or no water on the moon.=There is no air and no water on the moon.月球上没有空气和水。
难点:复习本单元重点语法连词but,and,so,or的用法。

一、创设情境,切入主题
Step1:Warming up
T:Do you know what is the meaning of“peacemaker”?
Ss:Yes.It means a man who persuade other people who have disputes.
二、展开过程,探究新知
1.Do Exercise 1 on Page 109.
设计意图:锻炼学生的阅读理解能力。
2.Ask students to read the text,and underline the new words in this text:rather,peacemaker.Then the teacher tell the meaning and usage of these words,and make sentences to help students understand.
