Good morning，everyone. I am contestant Feng yanli。

Today I am going to talk about “Great inventions”。

There are 7 parts in my speech: Teaching Material analysis，teaching aims, teaching emphasis and difficulties, teaching methods, teaching aids，teaching procedures and blackboard design.
Part 1 Teaching material analysis
This lesson is from Unit4 of book 8 A Oxford English. It is the first part of this Unit。

We have learned about computer in Unit3 and computer is a great invention in the world. They are both about science and technology。

So there is a special link between Unit3 and Unit4. In this part, We will learn about three great inventions: wheel，telephone and light bulb. We will also learn how they help us in our daily lives。

It is very important in this Unit。

Part 2 Teaching Aims
The aims of the lesson

Emphasis：

1.develop their communicative ability
2.To master how to introduce the inventions.
Part 4 teaching methods:
For this topic，I will apply five-step teaching and task-based teaching。

I think if I want to improve the students’ oral English.
I should give them enough chance to practice. I will let the students take an active part in all kinds of activities by encouraging group work. That is “learning by doing ，learning by using”. Let the students take the main role in the class。

Step1：lead in
The purpose is to arouse the students' interest in study.

what is this?It is a beer mug。

A man from German invented a new kind of beer mug.
You can enjoy beer and lemonade at the same time. It must taste good. Do you think so? You can have a try.
Next one，the funniest invention。

What is this? Is it a shoe? Is it a mobile phone？Yeah. An Australian invented the world's first :shoe phone. When you are walking on the road, your shoe phone rings, you take off your shoe and answer the phone，sounds funny。

right？
This one，what is this？It is an umbrella. A boring man from England invented such a umbrella。

In my opinion it is useless. Today we are going to learn something about inventions。

Look at our classroom. Are there any inventions here？Some one says light bulb，paper, blackboard，pens and so on。

You are very clear. Now I want you to discuss in groups. How these inventions help us in our daily lives.
We can see at night with light bulb。

We can write on paper。

We can use pens to write。

Step2：pre-reading
The purpose is to help the students know the topic of this unit，invention and relate to our daily lives.
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in A1and write down the name of each invention in the blanks。

let the students to work in groups. choose one invention in A1and discuss how it helps us in our daily lives. Show it in a “spider gram”。

The purpose is to let the students understand the new words and expressions。
